For the Ferrer family, summer always meant the impending joy of a road trip through New England, stopping at our favorite lobster and seafood shacks up and down the coast from Connecticut to Maine: Abbott’s in Noank, CT, Clam Box in Ipswich, MA, Chauncey Creek and Bob’s in Kittery, Barnacle Billy’s in Ogunquit, and Harraseeket Lunch & Lobster in South Freeport, ME, just to name a few. When our daughter Gemma is old enough, we’ll take her on this road trip, but we’ll add Penny to the list. The food last night brought me back to those long car ride days singing songs by James Taylor, Van Morrison, Cat Stevens, and The Beatles with the fam, excited for the next stop of our summer seafood high~ days I miss and look forward to getting back to. That is praise of the highest order for @joshuaj88 and @chasesinzer’s new spot. Thanks to them and the @penny_newyork team. #foodballin

Colorado Photo Diary, February 2023:
- Lugged lots of crap to/from the airport
- My flight to Denver got delayed so I ate @shakeshack for breakfast at 9am
- The first of many Colorado kitties, Max!
- Had a great time skiing @coppermtn with @georgeferrer @madelinekorosecferrer
- More Colorado kitties, this time Gracie (aka Butters lol)
- The G.O.A.T. @denverzoo
- Went to the car wash twice; is this the authentic Colorado experience?
- Went shopping @steadbrook and copped some @salomonsportstyle XT-6s
- Last but not least of the Colorado kitties, Beaux
- After all these years, @mlooloo and I still enjoy going for walks and eating fancy dinners together

It was so lovely to catch up with old friends in a new place. This trip literally (due to the altitude) and figuratively took my breath away. Colorado, I'll be back soon!

PUSH PLAY ▶️ “LISTEN TO YOUR BODY” - @martinrfmata

In episode 3 of #AmplifyYourChill, @martinrfmata talks about how running taught him how to listen to his body. Wise words.

This resonates with me heavy lately bc recovering through you know what has been such an interesting journey of reconnecting with my body. Being compassionate and patient with it, knowing it’s meant to heal from the inside out, and how tuning in to its process can help me self-soothe and find ways to give to it the way it needs. It’s such a trip. I have run away from my body in so many ways before, never appreciated it the way I do now. I feel so much more forgiving and understanding of it. I feel grateful it can withstand a virus, adapt through lack of physical touch, and heal so graciously too. The body and mind are so connected, it’s wild. Health is truly wealth, but seems the “richness” is really in being able to engage with it holistically. Thank you Marty for the meaningful reminder. xx

I love this episode for so many reasons but mainly because it highlights Filipino male voices. The @foodballin besties turn brothers are open, wholesome, and remind me so much of why I love being Filipino. Listen to it now on all major streaming platforms. Happy Friday cutiepatooties. Thanks for listening. - GMC xx
