The spirit of gravel calls this island 🏝️ home.
You might not know it but Schotter Island is what happens when alley cat races and unbound had a porta potty baby. We will be back but you will need to stay close to get the invite.

Schotter Island 7 June

One island. Two faces. Wide riverside straights. Hidden singletracks in high grass.

You can still be a part of the story, dont let it be a footnote.

If you raced the first edition, you met some of these faces. If 2026 is your first, you'll recognise them by the smiles at the start line.

Gempen Grinder is not organized by an Event agency but by Voyage Cycling Club. We are an association and have our Voyage Racing Team where our members are at startlines of races every week during the season. That is something you will notice when you come to our event.

It is a weekend where we work towards as volunteer but with the passion for racing.

Zin in zon, rust en quality time?

I Once Said I’d Never Race Elite Road Again. Yet Here We Are.

Ten years later, I’m pinning on a number again — this time not only as a rider, but also as co-manager of Voyage Racing Team’s first Elite squad.

One of the most special things about Voyage Racing Team is how it brings together riders from very different backgrounds and levels, all pushing each other forward in the same sport we love.

Somewhere along the way I probably promised myself I wouldn’t return to Elite road racing. But the energy inside Voyage, the camaraderie within the team, and the constant drive to improve together made it hard to stay away.

This season our Elite program counts 10 riders in its first year. Week after week we challenge each other — from local criteriums to major gravel races and now back onto the road. What started as a community of riders has grown into something much bigger.

For me, this season is about enjoying the races again and rediscovering the tactical game of road racing. I’ve chosen the races that matter to me, and when the flag drops, I’ll be ready.

Sometimes the best way forward is simply returning to where it all started.

And a good time it was!

First Hindelbank of the season, 17 riders at the start across all categories and podium in the Elite and Hobby A fields but above all a great team atmosphere.

See you next week @rv_ersigen - Hindelbank 2!

Our partnership with @ride_bmc is not only extended, it will grow.

Through @voyage_cycling_store we already had access to the very best of Swiss bikes for our riders and we will see BMC more often at our events such as @gempengrinder as well as on the VCC Thursdays where they become one of two community partners 🥳
