Beyond excited to be a part of my first group show ever 💙!!! Nature As A Muse will be in Kingsbury Texas at @habitablespaces @nexusgallerytx from August 28 for the opening reception and dinner until November 14 for the closing gala and silent auction.

I feel honored to have my piece California Blue used on this flier — this painting was the first one I shared online and it kicked off this era of me sharing my work so it holds a special significance for me. It will be shown alongside Ebey’s Landing.

Trip #6: Texas!, October 2024

It’s been 10 years since starting Piney Wood Atlas, and we’re celebrating and feeling nostalgic! Leading up to our next trip, we are looking back at each of our trips and remembering all the good times.

Oh, our Texas trip! Our shortest Piney trip yet – in just four days we visited five residencies from Austin, to the very tip of the state, to just south of Dallas, and in between. It was such a special adventure meeting all the passionate folks making space for artists, community, dialogue, rest, ice cream, connecting, and more. Texas is cool, ya’ll! We’ll never forget:

Crying at Selena’s grave, a dinner picnic interrupted by a possum, paletas y elote, an interview at a taqueria, the border wall, the most epic clouds you’ll ever see, interview as therapy, dipping our toes in the Gulf of Mexico, a residency in a former cemetery flower shop, handmade homes and handmade cheese, a horror-themed bookstore, a residency in a former Oddfellows Lodge, Kingsbury Playboys, queer sauna, the fiery spirit of Texans

Thanks to the residencies we visited:

- Museum of Human Achievement: Austin, TX (@themuseumofhumanachievement )
- Habitable Spaces: Kingsbury, TX (@habitablespaces )
- Ice Cream Aces: Lockhart, TX (@icecreamacres )
- Flower Shop: Brownsville, TX (@flowershopartstudio )
-Corsicana Residency: Corsicana, TX (@100w_corsicana )
