Hey Everyone,

It’s been a a while since updating ya’ll on how my fitness journey and military career is going but, I finally have the time to to take a moment to update you on some exciting changes happening in my life.

Over the past few months, I’ve been working diligently to achieve my goals and overcome various challenges. I’m thrilled to say that the hard work is finally paying off!

Not only have I grown personally, but I’ve also seen tremendous growth in my fitness and military progress. So much so that my strength has increased significantly and I’m happy to officially announce that I will be leaving to Basic Military Training August 20, 2024!

The lessons I’ve learned along the way have been invaluable, and I’m incredibly grateful for all the support and encouragement I’ve received from all of you. ❤️

I’m excited about what the future holds and can’t wait to share even more positive updates with you as I continue on this journey. Thank you for always being there for me and cheering me on.

Hope to share my graduation photos from BMT October 2024! Looking forward to catching up soon and celebrating my progress together! Stay Tuned! 😉

Best,
Savy.j.g

Here’s a little sneak peek of our barbell floor coaching class @crossfitsabalpark. @annmarie.abraham has been following our barbell program for several months. She has been working really hard on finishing her pull. Now it is always consistent, but her activeness of the punch under and staying braced in the catch has begun to lack. Very noticeable in the first two videos. After a few sets with the proper cues and eyes, she was able to feel when she was active and when she was not. Shown in the last two videos.

Take advantage of becoming a barbell member if you have a barbell specific program at your gym, or come in and give us a try @crossfitsabalpark. We offer floor coaching every Tuesday 5-6:30pm, Thursday 4:30-6pm, and one Saturday per month 8-9:30am.

Today’s platform meeting consisted of technique work at heavier percentages. Dip power clean + jerks and halting pull + high hang power snatches were on the menu, and of course we can’t leave out posterior strengthening accessories. The fellas ate it up! Nice work guys!

Some fun snapshots from my life the last couple months, moving through the chaos that is the world, with some (not all) of the most amazing souls I’ve been fortunate to meet. Shoutout to every one of my friends/students/fellow teachers/practitioners for making a difference in my life. Love you all big time.

New week, new opportunity to move, connect, breathe, make new friends/framily!

Weightlifting Wednesdays - Snatch Pulls
A good snatch starts with a good pull. Great practice for your start position, pulling tempo, tightness in core and shoulders, keeping the bar close.
