Starring Kevin Spacey, Lauren Metcalfe & Mark Hampton, Control puts one woman behind the wheel of a car she can no longer control.

British Home Secretary Stella Simmons (Lauren Metcalfe) is driving home one night when a mysterious man remotely hijacks her self-driving car, forcing her into a high-speed rampage through the streets of London.

Fun times talking to Mark Hampton @hammyactor about his debut feature film @unlicensed_movie , which was released in the UK and Ireland in 2025 and had its North American premiere @owtff last week (where he won 🏆 best actor!!)

Mark wrote, directed and starred in the film about a disgraced former city boy who enters an unlicensed boxing match after serving time in prison for insider trading.
You can watch it online!

Mark is a multi-award-winning actor, writer and director who loves playing action-oriented roles and has recently appeared in major motion pictures such as Heads of State (Amazon Studios), Lift (Netflix) and One More Shot (Sky), as well as numerous independent films and television appearances. In 2026 Mark will be appearing in The Runner from Academy Award winner Kevin MacDonald, and the action-thriller Archangel.

He has also directed the season 3 finale of multi-award-winning fantasy web series @renthegirlwiththemark , which premiered earlier this year.

Mark is a member of @equityuk and @director_uk and is represented by Nina Malone at @iagtalent

Day 3 of @owtff was a fun, relaxed content creation day after being relieved of my hosting and moderating duties! One of my interviewees @orlando.director and I came out to support the screening of @hammyactor first feature, the award-winning @unlicensed_movie that he wrote, produced, and starred in - coming to theatres near you on Nov. 17! Only written in a month, it’s a real knockout 🥊

And here they are 🥹🎬

The winners and Special Presentations of OWTFF 2026.

Every year I get to watch filmmakers send us these little pieces of themselves from all over the world, and then suddenly we’re here, getting ready to put their work on a screen in Toronto.

That part never gets old.

To all our filmmakers, PLEASE talk about your film. Post it. Tag us. Add @owtff as a collaborator. Tell your friends, your cousins, your neighbour, your ex if you have to 😂

People can’t fall in love with a film they don’t know exists.

September 25 to 27 at Kensington Studios.

Now I just need everyone to COME WATCH THE MOVIES 😂🎬
