Pure magic off the coast of Mozambique 🇲🇿 Mother Ocean was beyond generous to us. Our open hearts, reverence and coherence were beautifully reciprocated by nature. Hundreds of dolphins, a mother humpback and her calf 🥹, turtles, fish, jellies, and 7 massive bull sharks 😳 came to say hello all in a matter of three short days. Truly miraculous.

The amazing @courtneyhalogaia guided us, the badass @hanliprinsloo taught me how to free dive, and the incredible @rogerhorrocks was there to capture it all on film underwater. And my awesome documentary film crew captured it all at the surface.

Swimming with wild dolphins and humpback whales was an absolute dream come true. The connection, playfulness and intelligence of the dolphins was otherworldly. Africa was extraordinary and my heart is full 🩵🐬🐳

Set against the breathtaking marine landscapes of Baa Atoll, her journey brought together a passion for freediving, ocean conservation and the beauty of the underwater world. From discovering the vibrant marine life of the Maldives to sharing her perspective on the importance of protecting our oceans, Hanli’s experience highlighted how meaningful encounters with nature can inspire a deeper appreciation for marine ecosystems and the need to preserve them for generations to come.

And just like that, the 2026 Ocean Innovation Conference is in the books! 🌊

Thank you to everyone who made the 4th annual Ocean Innovation Conference such a memorable experience — our amazing keynote speaker Hanli Prinsloo, panel moderators and panelists, speakers, volunteers, sponsors, and, most importantly, everyone who joined us for the day!

From inspiring conversations to new connections and bold ideas, the day was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we come together to advance innovation for our oceans and coastal communities.

A special thank you to Madeline Gray for capturing the day so beautifully through her amazing photography, and to Steven Klem at Klempire for bringing our Ocean Innovation vision to life with the incredible conference shirts!

Not your average Maldives week. 🪸

I spent seven days at @avanimaldives for PADI AWARE Week and I genuinely do not know where to start.

Coral planting on the house reef 🐠. Freediving with mantas at Hanifaru Bay. Nurse sharks napping on the sand 🦈 . Reef so colourful and alive it made me stop mid-kick just to take it in.

This is what happens when you combine one of the most biodiverse ocean environments on the planet with a week dedicated entirely to protecting it!

Conservation is not always serious and heavy. Sometimes it looks like this. ☀️

You don't need to be a marine biologist to protect the ocean.

When @lucie.in.wonderlands, the artist behind @shellegance, decided to do something for the ocean, she didn't do it halfway. She brought together a stellar line-up of incredible local and international artists to each paint their own one-of-a-kind Shellegance shell, all to raise funds for the I AM WATER Foundation.

Lucie, thank you for thinking of us, for calling in your community, and for putting so much heart into this. We're genuinely moved 🐚

This is what it looks like when people use what they love to make a difference. Whatever your thing is - painting, cooking, organising, engineering - it can become a way of giving back. Lucie and these artists turned brushwork into ocean conservation, and we think that's pretty special.

This is Avani+ Fares. 🌊

A small island in the middle of the Maldives surrounded by some of the most colourful and diverse reef 🪸 I have ever put my camera in front of.

I spent a week here during PADI AWARE Week and the house reef alone kept me completely busy. Turtles 🐢 . Reef sharks 🦈 . Rays. Schools of fish so dense they blocked out the light. Coral gardens that made me stop mid-kick just to take it all in.

The Maldives has a reputation for being beautiful above the water. But it is what is underneath that will really get you. 🥹

Creation doing what Creation does best.
