The 2026-27 season is live, and we’ve hit the ground running! Thrilled to share more artist happenings, but here is a glimpse at some of the performances from this week alone:

The Borromeo String Quartet & pianist Henry Kramer reunited at Maverick Concerts on Sunday, pianist Stewart Goodyear performs twice with the Calgary Philharmonic this weekend, and we have TWO WORLD PREMIERES: the Harlem Quartet opening Richmond’s Belvedere Series at the American Civil War Museum with a new quartet by Damien Geter on Sunday, and Yevgeny Kutik opening the Rhode Island Phil season with the fabulous new violin concerto by Eric Nathan, highlighted by the Strad as the Premiere of the Month!!

@harlemquartet opens 5BMF’s 20th Anniversary Season on October 1st!

This anniversary season, we highlight 5BMF’s legacy while also looking ahead to new things. Our opening concert featuring the Grammy-winning Harlem Quartet offers a program that does just that: by interspersing movements from Beethoven’s “Serioso” Op 95 string quartet with movements of works by William Bolcom, Wynton Marsalis, William Grant Still, and others, the Quartet highlights differences and similarities among these composers and brings to focus the importance of both tradition and innovation.

You won’t want to miss this concert! And - it’s FREE! Reserve your seat via the 5BMF website.

After All This Time is a song about being surprised by love.❤️

About finding it later in life, when you may have stopped expecting it. About receiving the joy of being loved and allowing yourself to actually feel it.

I knew the song needed both power and tenderness, which is why partnering with the Harlem Quartet was so important to me. @harlemquartet Their strings brought such depth and beauty to the recording while still leaving room for softness.

And silence.

I wasn’t afraid of the silence in this song. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is leave space for the feeling to arrive.

After all this time, love can still surprise us.
