Reproduction of Ritorno in castello (1969) by Giorgio De Chirico
Commissioned artwork painted by the artist Heidi Daehler

Oil on cotton canvas

As part of my research on Spike Aesthetics, I have focused on artists who have incorporated spikes as a visual symbol in their artworks. The reproduction of De Chirico's 'Return to the Castle' has been particularly intriguing, revealing deeper insights into my topic, including considerations of cognitive disabilities and metaphysical representations.
