my love letter to @whoopaxe since they closed (this location): thank you. thank you for giving me a second home. thank you for giving me a place to learn, grow, express myself, and meet some of the most amazing people i ever have in my life. then you for giving me an encouraging environment to be in. thank you for giving me a soft space to land on hard days. thank you for being open to and supportive of new ideas, dances, and all of mine and my friends shenanigans. i’m so incredibly grateful for the safe space you provided me for the last 2ish years. i don’t normally get sappy but yall have no idea how much whoop means (meant?) to me 🥺

thank you to my friends that i met through this amazing venue that have inspired me, pushed me to grow, and encouraged me along the way! @brodysilvaggio thank you for being one of the first people to actually attempt to teach me swing/partner dancing. @wren.rockdale @averyrockdale thank you for being some of my biggest supporters and friends and i’m so grateful God brought us to the same spot at the same time and connected us, i’m truly blessed by our friendship! @graysonbreal @jadanac @alexcricee thank you for inspiring me and pushing me to grow with line dancing, learn new dances, and be able to have fun while dancing! @dj.kie @kierra_johnson5 thank you for being open to any and all of my crazy song requests, you have cultivated such an amazing culture for dancers to learn and grow in every aspect of the way and your support alongside them with the music is so valuable and doesn’t go unnoticed!

im so sad to see whoop go but so excited for the new opportunities they’ll have coming up moving forwards! with how amazing this place has been to me i have full confidence their next chapter will be even more incredible and i can’t wait for that!

signing off before my tears wet my keyboard too much that i can’t type 🫡🩷
