Check out the full video of “Saturday” on Noteworthy’s YouTube channel! I didn’t expect an a capella cover of neo-soul song by @couch.theband to speak to me the way it did… “Saturday” is an upbeat song about how hard it is to slow down when you’re constantly a day late and a dollar short, just barely squeaking by from deadline to deadline. That has certainly been a theme of this past year for me, and is true for so many people navigating the hustle of multiple irons in the fire. When life and art imitate each other, you get an especially personal result. Directing this video for @byunoteworthy meant a lot to me, and these ladies brought all of their passion and talent. I’m proud to have had to opportunity to work with such an incredible crew and ensemble, and to have made something for my alma mater. We’re honored to share that A SCOUT IS KIND was selected for the prestigious 2025 Springville Art Festival, hosted by @springvillemuseum. Springville, also known as Art City, was previously the home of Burgindie’s owners @barrettburgin and @jess_burgin, and remains one of our bases for Burgindie Pictures. Our film will play at this Saturday, September 20, at 5:30 PM, at @therivolitheater. On their final camping trip before college, two Boy Scouts test the limits of their friendship by asking honest questions about its nature.
