Let's answer some @hostedbyral 'Between Bites'
Conversation Cards - PART TWO♥️

But before we get into it, tickets for the October 31, 2026 HBR Dinner has gone liveeeee🎉

🔗Direct link to grab your tickets is in my bio💃🏾 See you at my dinner table soonest!

Back to HBR 'Between Bites' Conversation Cards: The food may bring you to the table, but the conversations are what stay with you.

I created HBR 'Between Bites' dinner conversation cards because I didn't want HBR Supper Club to be another dinner where we ate beautifully, exchanged pleasantries, and went home unchanged.

Each question is an invitation to pause, open up and connect beyond the surface, because at HBR, the food is only the beginning.

The ART of opening a bottle of bubbly🥂✨

As your hostess with the mostest, I think it’s only right that I share how to PROPERLY open a bottle of Prosecco, Champagne, or any sparkling wine, especially as we enter the most celebratory months of the year♥️

Here’s all you need to know:

Step 1: Pull the tab to unravel the foil (most bottles have one for easy removal).

Step 2: Make sure your bottle is properly chilled! This helps reduce the pressure inside the bottle and minimizes the likelihood of the cork flying out unexpectedly. Always keep the bottle angled at approximately 45° and pointed away from yourself and others.

Step 3: Untwist the wire cage about 6 times, but DO NOT remove it! Keep your thumb firmly over the cork and maintain control of both the cork and cage.

Step 4: Keep a firm grip on the cork and cage, then slowly twist the BOTTLE, not the cork. Allow the pressure to gently ease the cork out. The goal? A soft little SIGH, never a POP.🥂

And just like that, you’re ready to pour, host and celebrate in style!✨

Cheers, and may we always have lots to celebrate♥️🥂

Let's answer some @hostedbyral 'Between Bites' Conversation Cards🤍

The food may bring you to the table, but the conversations are what stay with you. 🤍

I created HBR 'Between Bites' dinner conversation cards because I didn’t want HBR Supper Club to be another dinner where we ate beautifully, exchanged pleasantries, and went home unchanged.

Each question is an invitation to pause, open up and connect beyond the surface—because at HBR, the food is only the beginning.

Here are my answers to a few of the cards… now, how would you answer them? 👀

Let's unbox my new @kitchenaid_ca Artisan Series Tilt-Head Stand Mixer🫶🏾

I know! I know! I'm late to the stand mixer party🫣 but in my defence, I don't bake😥 so I never really found nor had a need for it buttttttt I've since learned the endless possibilities it comes with so I'm super excited for this!

Pleaseee recommend attachments below for your girlie (I bought the pasta attachment - spaghetti & fettuccini- alongside the mixer because duhh pasta is life haha😆)🤍

Do you own one? And if you do, do you like it? Any tips to maximizing its use?

Let me know down below👇🏾

THE ART OF HOSTING | PART 3: DAY OF 🕯️ — here is the final instalment of this gem I filmed 2years ago on YouTube and decided to bring to the feed as we enter prime Hosting Era 🥂

✨THE DAY-OF STAGE ✨
Today’s the day — your planning pays off. Keep it calm, simple, and guest-first. Here's a quick list to ensure you stay calm and relaxed as you make the final touches before your guests arrive👇🏾

1. Final fridge & oven run — chill wines, prep ice, preheat ovens, and set warm plates aside if you'll be having a spread.
2. Tablescape + flow — finish place settings, serving stations, and clear walking paths.
3. Lights, music & scent — set layered lighting; playlist queued and ready to go; choose only one subtle scent so your guests aren't overwhelmed with smells in your home.
4. Last-minute food prep — finish hot items, dress salads at the last minute, and hold dressings/sauces to the side.
5. Welcome Drink station ready — ice topped, glasses chilled, cocktail batched or spirits pre-measured or actually mixed.
6. Ensure backups are available — corkscrew, lighter, stain pen, charger, spare napkins & a small first-aid kit (trust me! Accidents happen!)
7. Last minute check — 10-minute tidy, mirror check, perfume, and put on an apron or host outfit you can move around in and then it's GAME TIME!!
8. Welcome plan — how you’ll greet people, where to put coats/drinks, and a 30-minute buffer for late arrivals if you'll be pulling out small bites.
9. Serve, Eat, Converse and Be Merry 🥂.
10. Quick wrap — thank you toast to end off the night, quick clean and pack away for perishables, and main clean the next day!

CONGRATULATIONS! You did it! You hosted such a beautiful evening! Be so so proud of yourself👏🏾
