The photographs are what you see. This is what goes into creating them. Ten steps behind an editorial campaign - from the first conversation to the final gallery. The ideas, moodboards, location scouting, styling, schedules, equipment, lighting tests, direction, image selection and hours spent editing. Every stage shapes the finished work. It’s the care taken before anyone steps on set. Knowing how the wardrobe, light and location will work together. Giving the team a clear direction, while leaving room for something unexpected to unfold. Then carrying that same attention through to the colour, crop and finish of every delivered image. And beside me at every shoot: my NOIR camera bag from US & IRIS. I bought this beauty last year, and it has come with me to every shoot since. It looks and feels like a designer handbag, carries my most-used equipment and never fails to draw a compliment. A practical part of my working day that feels completely at home with my love of beautiful design. I love creating photographs, but I’m just as passionate about the thought, preparation and collaboration that make them possible. Thank you to Grace, Erynn and Jake for the styling, BTS and all the little things behind the scenes that helped bring this shoot together. So thankful to the incredible @demiryanmakeup for her amazing makeup & hair on Daisy! For brands planning a campaign in 2027, this is a glimpse into the care I’ll bring to yours. A considered vision, detailed preparation and a photographer who is deeply invested in bringing it to life. 2027 campaign enquiries: hello@whitelanestudios.com.au 🤍

And just like that… Bloom After Dark comes to an end. What a spectacular few nights in Bendigo — when the gardens came alive after dark, the tulips glowed, and the city felt just a little more magical. We loved having Bloom right on our doorstep at Hotel Ernest, with guests wandering through the gardens, soaking up the colour and making the most of everything Bendigo has to offer. A huge congratulations to everyone who brought Bloom After Dark to life. What a beautiful way to celebrate spring in Bendigo. Until next year… 🌷

Because Spring is for staycations! Don’t you agree? So I’ve booked two more this week! 😆🙌🏻 But before I set out on those I wanted to share some highlights from the last one I went on in Bendigo recently! I went there for a foodie walking tour with @bendigoguidedtours but I decided to stay in the area and make a weekend of it and discover some of its highlights! And of course while I was exploring and experiencing some hidden and not so hidden gems I stayed at the amazing and luxe @hotelbendigo where I always find something new to fall in love with! I have to admit this time I fell in love with how well my outfit unintentionally matched my room! 😂 It’s why I couldn’t resist a quick photoshoot there! And even though it was actually winter when I visited most of these places and activities are there all year round! So if you’re looking for the perfect spring staycation why not check out Bendigo and @hotelbendigo soon! You never know maybe I’ll be there too! #springweekend #solowomentravel #staycationideas #melbournecontentcreator

A weekend in Bendigo, where I was invited to take part in a Q&A as part of the @melbfashionfestival regional program. Living in my own little creative bubble, I often wonder whether what I do or what I have to say is of any interest to the outside world. I just do what I do and when someone asks me to explain what inspires me or how my creative process works, I often struggle to find the words. I suppose that’s the curious thing about being a creative. What feels so instinctive and ordinary to me can be intriguing to someone looking in. It was lovely to step outside my little world for a moment, share a few thoughts, connect with others and be reminded that sometimes the things we take for granted in ourselves are the very things others find interesting. Thank you @bendigoartgallery @melbfashionfestival and @hotelbendigo and @laurenlolaalex for hosting the event and wearing the most fabulous earrings your twelve year old daughter made you!

SCONES ON TOUR BENDIGO - 18th of September ✨💕 who would have thought this concept would take us so far, to so many different places! It started on a quiet day.
