@mindovermountain that was unexpectedly hard and unexpectedly fun! Thanks @ryanevanalfonso for being such a fun, wild and ecouraging race partner. And shoutout to all the fellow @restorehuman friends and racers!

I can say for the first time I truly felt the runners high! And the incredible experience of pushing your body farther than you ever have. We’re all so much more capable than we know!

Here to make @javelizz @conor_moves and @humanpax proud heheh

We found a piece of kelp and had fun with it, (and then proceeded to keep using it on our bike trip 😂)

It feels so amazing for the spine & upper body 😌 Getting rotational movement in has felt like pure bliss after biking hundreds of kilometers!

My brother Rob was going to bike with us down to the ferry & his chain broke first thing as we started up the hill. The first mechanical sacrifice of the trip 😢
He still made it to the ferry to meet us!!

Thank you everyone for treating us and excited to hug you all after the trip!! 🥰🪩😘

Loving our new home in Oak Bay. Beautiful studio, great coaches, and super lovely people to train with. The backyard doesn’t hurt either (sea wall rides, anyone?). Big credit to Coach Pax @humanpax for leading the way. Spring has been good, finding our rhythm came easier than expected. Bring on summer. 🛶🌎🥰🐠☀️

We’re proud to announce the opening of our second studio in Oak Bay, Victoria. This has been years in the making. Getting here took strength, grace, and resilience, the same qualities we see in our community every day. 🌎💪❤️

A particular and well-deserved acknowledgment to Coach Pax, who stepped up as Studio Coordinator and carried this project through the renovation and establishment phases with extraordinary dedication. Thanks as well to Carissa, Coach Pax’s wife, for her amazing support throughout. And to Coach Jason, a huge shout out for building the A-frames and bringing the Restore Human aesthetic to life in Oak Bay with his own hands.

The wider RH team also showed up in their own ways throughout. Thank you all. This was a collective effort and it shows. #teamworkmakesthedream

Oak Bay is a new community for us and we’re arriving with humility, ready to earn our place in it. 🌱🌿🌳

10 Years ago, in February of 2016 we incorporated Restore Human. There’s a little snap of our first 200 sq ft space at the end of the reel. Since then we’ve built; team, locations, methodology, culture, community, strength, grace and resilience.
10 of the major things we’ve learnt:
1. Cross country skis can aptly be named death sticks.
2. Deep appreciation; for the people we get to work with and the work we do. It’s all built off this. Thank you all.
3. We’re weird, but that’s a feature not a bug.
4. Team work makes the dream work, inflated egos are the destroyer of worlds.
5. Canoe culture is important to us, we want more of it in our lives.
6. Stress plus rest = growth, but finding the right stress and true rest can be hard!
7. Know your North Star (purpose) but be ready to take different trails to get there, snacks are needed.
8. Everyone has their struggles, extending the most generous interpretation (MGI) to the people around us and ourselves is what we all need more. Kindness.
9. Resisting and fighting the pull of digital technologies, products, and cultures that disconnect and disembody us takes effort, but the results are meaningful and joyful.
10. Our future as individuals, families, communities, countries and biospheres all benefit greatly from us being more connected with our physical self, other humans and the land and sea around us. It’s the infrastructure that’s needed for us to thrive. Let’s keep restoring it. 🌎🏔️🥰🚣🏽‍♂️

Thank you to every single person that has helped in big and small ways on this journey. Our commitment is to keep doing our best to empower and educate the world towards physical freedom and adventure. One step at a time. Exciting news to come on a big step we’re taking.

37 athletes, 8 km of running, and 8 stations absolutely crushed! We’re beyond proud of the community, love, and resilience we witnessed out of everyone in attendance. Thank you to the athletes, @outwaysocks and @flamanvictoria for coming out for our first HYROX simulation 🔥

Keep your eyes peeled 👀 for our next event. Until then, we’ll see you in Vancouver 🫶🏼 #teamBPM
