It was an honor to be a part of my first ever “Paint Phoenix Purple” event hosted by @iamundefinedart and The City Of Phoenix!

It started as a resource fair where attendees could talk to organizations that support individuals who are in need of counseling, housing, community, etc.. with a focus on victims of Domestic Violence.

We then transitioned into a guided art activity where we painted on individual canvases to create our own vase 🏺 to go along with the theme “Kintsugi”. It was a very reflective and thoughtful way to express ourselves through art! I enjoyed every minute of it!

Make sure to check out @sunflowersoulfoundation and support!

We had a wonderful evening connecting with our West Valley artists and city representatives at the HOLA Artist Mixer & Information Panel!🌟🎨

It was amazing to see artists from all across the West Valley come together, connect with one another, and hear firsthand from HOLA’s first year artists about their experiences working in public art.

And a HUGE thank you to our wonderful panelists: Jo Ho, Amy Schuchert, Emily Olive, Lauren Lee, Tiesha Harrison, and Betsy Andrews!

Don’t forgot to get your HOLA application in by October 1st! Apply through Culturalyst linked in our bio.

This Friday, September 25th, we will gather in remembrance of the lives taken too soon. 💚🕯️

For National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims, we will meet at 7:00 PM on the Marquee side of the bridge at Tempe Town Lake for a Pop-Up Vigil to honor our loved ones, say their names, and stand alongside families who continue to wait for answers and justice.

Please join us as we light the way in their memory. 🕯️💚

They are loved. They are remembered. Their names still matter.

We are excited to launch our incubator curriculum pilot at Genesis Academy this school year:

The Creative Mind: NeuroArts Studio — Art, Voice & Resilience

This 9-week creative arts elective gives students the opportunity to explore creativity, self-expression, and the connection between art, the brain, and wellbeing.

Through hands-on artmaking, reflection, and basic neuroscience concepts, students will learn more about emotions, stress responses, identity, resilience, healthy coping, and the power of creative voice.

On a personal level, this pilot is especially meaningful because it brings together art education, curriculum planning, and SLF’s mission to help youth build hope, purpose, resilience, and the tools to make healthy choices.

The program also incorporates professional local community artists as Creative Wellness Teaching Artists in the classroom. For Block One, SLF is honored to collaborate with Tiesha Harrison, founder of Sunflower Soul Project, whose work connects art, neuroscience, trauma-informed practice, healing, and resilience.

We are grateful for this opportunity to continue building creative, trauma-informed pathways that help youth feel seen, supported, empowered, and capable of thriving.

Art. Voice. Resilience. Hope.

A celebration of the artists within The Awakened Artist 🪽🔥💕

Today I have something I'm really excited to share with you.

Over the past few weeks, some of the artists inside The Awakened Artist have come together to share a piece of their work as part of our very first online showcase.

One of the things I love most about this community is seeing how differently everyone creates. Although we learn together, encourage one another, and often begin with the same inspiration, every artist gradually develops their own unique artistic voice. This little showcase is a beautiful reflection of that.

On the website, you'll find a beautiful collection of original artwork, along with the stories behind each piece and an opportunity to get to know the artists who created them. The artworks are also available to collect directly from the artists themselves.

It's been such an honour bringing this little collection together, and I hope you enjoy getting to know the artists and the beautiful work they've shared.

I'll pop the link below in the comments! 🥰❤️❤️ xx

Flagstaff Extreme surprise for this graduate. Ive been here 3 times now and hands down, this time was my favorite. The course is awesome, zip lines are fun....but my favorite had to have been watching and hearing the laughing and banter. Words of encouragement during the scary parts followed by laughing at Tiesha and I. Hahaha. Thank you Tiesha for including me in this experience with you two.

Today I attended CommuniTea Healing ‘s RSM: Reiki. Sound. Movement. Event ✨ hearing the birds chirp, feeling the cool breeze and sun shining down on our faces during the sound bath by Celeste made me feel so present ✨ Cam did reiki, brought an amazing tea blend and did card pulls for the group! I left feeling so blessed and grateful for coming to this event💓
