TWO ATHLETES. TWO RACES. TWO DIFFERENT PREPS. 🔥

This weekend, two of my athletes are racing in very different and challenging modalities:

🔴 AL GONZALES
Spartan Seattle — NorAm Championship

After a broken ankle last year, Al made this his comeback season — and what a comeback it’s been!
🏆 Spartan AG National Series Champion

Training focus:
⛰️ Long hill endurance runs
🏃 Longer tempo intervals
🧗 Obstacle-efficient compromised running
⚡ Plyometrics

Now we close out the Spartan season before shifting toward his first HYROX in December.

🔵 JERRED BENIQUEZ
HYROX Salt Lake City — Pro Division

First year racing Pro with a goal of a Sub-65 finish time!

Training focus:
🏃 Shorter mixed-pace intervals
📈 Mid-distance progressive runs
⚙️ Race-equipment compromised running
🎯 Targeting weak links + running efficiency

Race after race, the running has continued to improve. Now we put everything together — machines, running, transitions, and efficiency.

Two athletes. Two different races. Two different training approaches. I don’t believe in forcing every athlete into the same running program.
I believe in understanding the race, identifying what the athlete needs, and then creating training sessions that replicate the demands of competition as closely as possible.

Please help me wish Al & Jerred a fantastic and fun weekend of racing!

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Sportograf over the last two years. After becoming an endurance athlete myself, combining my love for photography and endurance sports has been amazing. I get to travel all over the US to make these badass athletes look GOOD 🤘🏽

This race features photos from the DEKAfit competition from both 2025 and 2026.

If you’re an athlete pictured, let me know and I’ll tag you.

GT drivers, constantly gripping the steering wheel doesn’t just fatigue your hands — it can make your forearms and arms burn out faster over a long stint, which can hurt your control and consistency. Add farmer carries and dead hangs after training so you can keep your hands relaxed, your arms fresher, and your inputs smoother when fatigue hits. If you want a tailored made program to your needs, DM me “Driver” to get started. #motorsports #motorsport #strengthandconditioning #strengthcoach #gt

Cali Hyrox Vibe Maxxing. @hy5lab brought it with the NorCal Hybrid Classic this weekend. The gym community pulled together a great event with lots of incredible athletes in all divisions.

Great tune up for our upcoming mixed doubles with @marcus_madrid taking home the top finish.

Amazing running with @coachbrooklyn who finished 9th OV at worlds a few weeks ago. She can fly!

The relay is always the most fun!

Met so many great people and reconnected with friends. Great reminder of the incredible folks I’m so blessed to know. Surround yourself with amazing folks and hope it rubs off!

See you next year Nor Cal!

The ✨inaugural✨ NorCal Hybrid Classic!

This event was so well put together. @marcus_madrid and the team at @hy5lab, you guys busted your butts to pull this off, and it was a massive success.

The goal of this event was to create an atmosphere that felt as close to a real HYROX race as possible, and they delivered. From timing chips and finisher patches to podium banners and on-site race payouts, they really thought of every detail.

Running the race was fun (and so was getting paid 🤪), but my favorite part was making new connections and cheering on the other athletes.

Pro Solo - 1st Female OA 🥇
Mixed Doubles w/ @porter_drake - 1st AG 🥇

A 10/10 experience. I’ll definitely be back for the next one ⚡️
