During our off weeks, when not hosting intimatesuppers, our time is more flexible. Apart from prep work, we also cook family favourites or try new out of menu dishes just for the fun of it.

A few weeks ago, The Hubs @inotscaredyou made kimchi.

#kimchi #sghomecook #homemadekimchi #sgfamily #singaporelife

We all love his kimchi, including our helper Y. It’s fresh, just the right amount of heat and acidity!

Apart from eating it as a banchan, with hot rice, we also use it in our noodle soup…

… and in our kimchi fried rice! SO so delicious!!

Happy Father’s Day to my incredible Papa! 6 foot 4 and brimming with positivity no matter the winds or unpredictability of life. I think I get my enthusiasm and adaptability from him.

My Papa has a love of adventure of all kinds and I imagine being my Dad is one heck of an adventure 😂😂😂 Coz I’m “just like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.” 😆

Thank you for always living by example and showing up for me no matter what, rain or shine, night or day. You are “good people.”

I love you! 🥰 let’s celebrate you soon in Züri! 😍 And to my Sg family, happy Father’s Day to @inotscaredyou and soon to @mr.pkok 🙈

When we want a quick meal, and have extra pesto which we kept frozen….

Penne in pesto sauce
With some extras of that pork belly we serve at @intimatesuppers 😋 marinated in banana vinegar, glazed with banana ketchup (should have made extra of the extras)

The view from my seat at Cafe Lucia’s in South West Jeju, Korea. Winding down from a busy season @intimatesuppers . Getting ready for new experiences ahead, new beginnings, new milestones!

Chiang Mai… Scored a reservation slot at Rasik Local Kitchen @rasik.chiangmai. Bustling small restaurant, 2 seatings. We had spicy vegetables (not in the pictures), grilled beef tongue, grilled beef finger ribs, fried rice with prawns, pork collar red curry, charcoal grilled golden snapper, and grilled bone marrow.

We had a great time! Food was delicious, love the vibes of this cosy modern Thai restaurant helmed by Chef Wai @alohamawaii . Our favourites were the beef tongue, smokey char but pink inside. Fried rice had enough Wok Hei, and large juicy prawns on top. Simple seasoning but so SO DELISH! The curry was perfect! Rich, but not jelat! Wish I had me some white rice to soak up that gravy… but it was just too much carbs this whole trip.

Thank you Chef for the hospitality and the wine recommendation.

Can’t wait to get back home, cook us some new dishes inspired by our time in North Thailand. Certainly some ideas for @intimatesuppers next IndoChine menu in Q3.

Got dressed up for a photoshoot for the December issue of #herworldsingapore, part of an article about homepreneurs in this December’s issue. Took a few extra shots just for the fun of it. Thank you Chelsia for this opportunity.
