That’s a wrap. @performnce_gainz is closing its doors as of October 1st.

When I first started this company, I wanted to create a product that could impact people in a real way. And honestly, I accomplished that goal. There are so many people that have reached out and told me how much they enjoy these products.

The reality is is that the supplement industry is a hard gig. To breakthrough and make it something is extremely difficult. There are a lot of things that we did right with this and there are some things business wise that we did wrong.

However, reflecting back, I have no regrets. From the conferences to the emails to meeting people in person that loved the product I have found this so fulfilling.

I’m not saying that this is not something I won’t try again, but for now I feel satisfied closing the door on this chapter.

Thank you to everyone that supported made videos written reviews and just sent me an email thanking me for how this product has impacted their performance in life is a whole.

Get the products while they’re still here. The reds and the pre-workout are technically expired, but they’re still good to drink so you can stock up. Peaceful dreams is as good as ever.

I’ve been in this space over 12 years now and back in the day I used to regularly post #TransformationTuesday posts.

It’s been a while since I’ve done one so what better day and than today?

Over 12 years ago, I was very unwell. I was decades deep into my eating disorders and food addiction, type two diabetic, I had high blood pressure, psoriasis, sleep apnea, asthma/allergies, and I would get sick with some sort of cold or bronchitis several times a year. Also, I weighed 260 pounds.

It was through a friend from Sunday school that I learned the “K” word. It saddens me, and honestly, it truly pisses me off to see people shitting all over it now and acting like they were never benefiting from it. Keto literally turned my health around and saved my life. It was also the vehicle that I needed to have the mental wherewithal to finally do the work I needed to do to repair my relationship with food.

In spite of all that for several recent years, I got sucked into the higher protein higher carb, lower fat ways out there and I’m telling you it did not serve me well. It fucked me up physically.

I kept my food sobriety, trying to be more low-carb rather than keto and very high protein kept me from reaching the goals I wanted to reach.

So I recently (August 2025) switched back to a more traditional ketogenic way of eating and I got on BHRT this spring and I’m finding myself again. Everything is better. #ketosavedme

One of the “benefits“ of being obsessed and wildly disordered with food, weight, body, etc. is that I kept records.

I am definitely one of those people who should know better than to give any power to the scale or at least any more than it deserves. So this morning, I decided to go look through my archives and find a picture of myself where I was the same weight I am today. This is what I found.

So next time, your voice of sabotage and disordered brain tries to tell you that nothing’s happening you go find evidence to the contrary.

The picture on the right I had only been going to the gym/lifting weights for about four months and the picture on the left is 11 years later and consistently lifting weights. So let’s just say I’m less mad now about the number on the scale and more excited about my body composition. Even though I’m not yet at the vision I have for myself. I’m not crying about it either.

Keep going, and remember, the scale doesn’t tell the whole story, and never give up on the dreams you have for yourself.

Another great @hackyourhealthevents weekend for the memory vault. @therobinswitzer and her bad ass team know how to put on an event!

There were so many great speakers presenting life-changing information. I am so grateful for the opportunity to moderate the Overcoming Food Addiction panel and to share the stage with men and women I greatly admire.

Great conversations, great friend time, great food ….. My heart is full and I feel recharged to go home and continuing to preach the message of food freedom!!

An incredible week in Tampa! Grateful I get to do what I love every single day. @hackyourhealthevents always brings so much community and connection. Getting to reunite with friends and also meet new ones!
