🙏🏼50 YEARS IN SOLITARY CONFINEMENT. BUT JESUS SET HIM FREE! Moe spent 50 years of his life locked away in a cell. For decades, he lived in darkness, but one year ago, everything changed when he gave his life to Jesus. Today, he stood before hundreds of incarcerated men and shared his testimony. “For all those years, the devil had a chokehold on my life. But I finally realized I couldn’t do it by myself. I needed God.” After sharing his story, Moe stepped into the waters of baptism, publicly declaring that his old life is gone and he has been made NEW IN CHRIST! Fifty years in a cell couldn’t stop the love of Jesus from reaching him. THE PRISON DOORS MAY STILL BE CLOSED, BUT MOE IS FINALLY FREE! 🙏🏼 Pray about GIVING to God Behind Bars and helping us reach more inmates with the gospel - $5, $10, $100 helps make this ministry continue - godbehindbars .com #savedbyjesuschrist #freeinchristjesus #baptism #jesussavedme

🤍 THREE TIMES IN PRISON. BUT THIS TIME, JESUS GOT HIS HEART! Todd has been in and out of Angola prison three different times. He was tired of living the same life, making the same mistakes, and ending up in the same place. But for the FIRST TIME in his life, Todd walked into a church service INSIDE PRISON! He heard about the incredible love of Jesus, and something changed in his heart. He surrendered his life to Christ and stepped into the waters of baptism! Todd is getting out of prison soon, but this time he knows he can’t go back to the man he used to be. He needs a new beginning, and that new beginning starts with JESUS! Prison may have been part of his story three times, but we are believing that FREEDOM IN CHRIST will define the rest of his life! 🙌❤️ 🙏🏼 Pray about GIVING to God Behind Bars and helping us reach more inmates with the gospel - $5, $10, $100 helps make this ministry continue - godbehindbars .com #savedbyjesuschrist #freeinchristjesus #baptism #jesussavedme

🗣️”I GOT THE CURE”~Donk To watch Jake, the founder of God Behind Bars @godbehindbars , my brother, minister at Angola reached somewhere deep in me, for real. 😭❤️✝️🙌🏽 •Across prison yards. In sanctuaries. Inside cells. On death row. Proclaiming Jesus to men who still need to know they are loved, seen, and worth reaching. 🗣️”When you believe you have the cure, love won’t let you keep it to yourself.” •For three days, we witnessed miracle after miracle. Men surrendering their lives to Christ. Baptisms. Moments I never imagined I would live to experience in the same prison where I once served life plus 90 years. GOD IS REAL🙌🏽❤️✝️ •In Real Life Yall… God Behind Bars is definitely one of the realest ministries I’ve ever been part of. I’ve stood beside them. I’ve seen the love up close. I ❤️ GBB. •This is what it’s all about. This is the heart of heaven. People coming home to the Father, even while they’re still behind walls. Gloryyyyy 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 And if you’re reading this wondering whether God still wants you, He does. You don’t have to get yourself together before you come. Bring Him every broken piece. The same Jesus we proclaimed at Angola is worthy of your yes today. ❤️🙌🏽 #GodBehindBars #AngolaRevival #IHaveTheCure #JesusChangesLives #DonkSpeaks

🙏🏼AFTER 50 YEARS IN PRISON, HE GAVE HIS LIFE TO JESUS AND GOT BAPTIZED TODAY! For most of his life, this man has lived in solitary confinement, isolated from the world around him. But today, he was able to come out and hear the Gospel. And when the invitation was given, HE RESPONDED! He surrendered his life to Jesus and stepped into the waters of baptism! After 50 years behind bars, he experienced a NEW LIFE IN CHRIST! No one is too far gone. No one is forgotten. And it is NEVER too late for Jesus to change a life! 🙏🏼 Pray about GIVING to God Behind Bars and helping us reach more inmates with the gospel - $5, $10, $100 helps make this ministry continue - godbehindbars .com #savedbyjesuschrist #freeinchristjesus #baptism #jesussavedme

90% of the men at Angola State Prison will never go home. They’ll die there…But, the amazing thing is Jesus died for them too. I spent 3 days inside Louisiana State Penitentiary. We preached, worshipped, prayed, and I answered some of the toughest questions I’ve ever had to answer. On top of that we baptized men who are serving life sentences. We spoke to people on death row and got to interact with these inmates. I’m not excusing what anyone did. You can love justice and still believe a man can change. I saw that change happen with my own eyes: men owning what they did, repenting, and ultimately giving their lives to Jesus. I understand the feeling of being known by your last mistake. It slowly kills you. That’s what the enemy wants for every one of us not just them. John 8:36 says, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.” Some of these men will never walk out those gates and yet amazingly they’re still free. Thank you Warden Vanoy and Warden Easley and @jake_bodine @isaacpholt @godbehindbars for the love you showed us. More coming soon.

This felt so unreal in person. What @jake_bodine is doing with @godbehindbars is NOTHING short of the LITERAL hand of God grabbing humans out of the pit of mud & giving them the most healing, loving, and hopeful hug they will ever experience on earth. There is a revival currently happening behind the razor wire. Follow @godbehindbars to find out how to get involved - #revival #prisonministry #prison #jesuschrist #christian

I’ve been writing with @godbehindbarsmusic @godbehindbarsmusic for a while now and last night I got to stand alongside the men of Angola Prison and hear them sing at the top of their lungs about the God who set them free… there were tears on the alter… and baptisms in a kids pool… songs written in cell blocks… more joy in those men than I have seen in any other place… God is moving… the Kingdom is here… and Church is happening far outside the walls of what we have known…. Incredibly grateful for @jake_bodine @_mattnew_ and the whole @godbehindbars team… Jake put it perfectly last night- “ From Inmate to In Christ….”

Spent tonight at the first ever outdoor prison evening revival in “the yard” at Louisiana State Penitentiary in Angola alongside the inmates. 87% of them are in for life. God is moving like I’ve never seen with these men. Baptisms following tonight’s service went on for a long time. So many came to Christ. From 19 year olds to 70 year olds. Thank you @godbehindbars for having me as their guest. You’re doing AMAZING work for the kingdom! Scroll for some of the amazing things that happened tonight.
