ART EVERYWHERE. ENERGY EVERYWHERE. 🎨🔥 Had to stop and appreciate some of the artwork at the Graffiti Block Party. Every wall had its own style, its own message, and its own story. That’s one thing I love about art — two people can look at the exact same piece and walk away with two completely different perspectives. Major flowers 💐 to @art.of.daniel.green and everybody who helped create a space where artists could express themselves and the community could come together and experience it. I came out there with @loudconversationz to interview people, but I left inspired by the creativity around me too. 🎙️🎨 Art creates conversation — and conversations create perspective. Which mural catches your eye the most? 1, 2, 3, or 4? 👀👇🏾 #GraffitiBlockParty #ArtOfDanielGreen #LoudConversations #CharlestonArt Lowcountr

Yesterday I had the privilege of seeing the closing of “By Any Means Necessary” at @reduxartcenter curated by @keladreams 🖤✊🏾 The participating artists all did a phenomenal job with their artwork and the closing poetry made everything come full circle. Grateful to have been able to show up and support such a powerful demonstration of community and Black artistry. We will continue to tell our stories and be heard by any means necessary. #blackartists #byanymeansnecessary #charlestonart #communityartists #supportblackartists

Curating exhibitions is always about the artists but is never just about the exhibiting works. My efforts are to bring creatives together in community centered environments where they can connect and create together. Four of our artists agreed to work on the collaborative mural project which involved designing the backdrop to some of the artwork and designing a full interactive mural on a movable wall with each of their styles where they came over multiple days over multiple weekends to see the completion of the project. I am soo proud of the process and the outcome based one the small direction/parameters provided: - keep it minimal with potential line work - let it be interactive for the community - make it manageable to complete in two weekends or less Look at what they have done! They elevated the room with their intentionality and unique styles which transpired effortlessly. Thank you to each artist who took the time to show up in this way! It really means a lot and your efforts go a long way. Shout out to OHM Radio 96.3FM @ohmradio963 for featuring some of us on the air to talk about the exhibition. This was such a fun and engaging experience with our OHMie Steph @ssteph4evaa who carried our conversation. She is amazing for so many reasons, and the love is soo real! Check out our full segment with the link in bio! The mural is still available to be interacted with at Redux @reduxartcenter in the exhibiting gallery. Please help us with your contributions towards the interactive mural of your expressing what moves you to be more of you and share your creativity By Any Means. These contributions will be transformed into another creative work. Featured mural artists: • JAKEEM DA DREAM @jakeemdadream • Nathalie Watson @nathaliemarievisuals_ • Kalah Crawford @addartbykalah • Barry White @typheadamus
