Turning 30 & taking a little social detox 🌿
Last week I turned 30, and instead of doing anything huge, my husband, our dog and I took a little trip to Agnes Water and, most importantly, I took some proper time OFF.

For someone who is self-employed, switching off is surprisingly hard. My phone is my business, my clients can always reach me, and I’m so used to being “on” that actually logging off felt almost uncomfortable at first.

But this little break made me realise just how much I needed it.

I’ve had some clients for years, and I genuinely can’t remember the last time I was properly offline for a couple of days. It felt strange leaving them to it, but it was also a really good reminder that they are capable, independent and don’t always need me immediately.

They did great. ❤️

Taking that step back gave everyone a little more space, and it gave me the chance to slow down, put my phone away and spend some proper quality time with my husband and our dog.

It was the reset I didn’t realise I needed.

So, here’s to 30, and hopefully to getting a little better at remembering that rest isn’t falling behind. Sometimes, it’s exactly what we need to come back feeling refreshed, focused and ready to give our best again. ✨

We’re happy finally to announce that we’ll relocate! 🥹✨
It’s been a tough road, with a lot of ups and downs, but since we’ve spent a long time of our world travel in Australia we can’t think of any other place to live anymore.

If you guys have any tips or experiences you’d like to share, you’re more than welcome to! ⬇️🥳

Other than that: join me on my adventure as a business owner relocating to Australia 🇦🇺!

Oh I am such a sucker for these transformations. Like pinch me, I LOVE my job so much!! 💗

And trust me…
👉🏼 You will want to take 50 seconds to hear her story.

Let me take you back to where Janika was just a few months ago ↴

She had just moved countries.
Her income was unstable.
Her confidence was down the drain.

And she said something in our conversation that stayed with me: “At some point I kind of lost my spark because I didn’t know where my place was.”

She knew she wanted to bring her business back to life. But she also knew she needed clarity, support and someone in her corner while everything around her was shifting.

Inside ACCELERATE, something beautiful happened. In only a few months:
📈 She sold out her very first program
📈 She landed a big corporate client
📈 She rebuilt her confidence piece by piece
📈 She reconnected to her energy, her voice and her purpose
📈 She started leading her business in a way that actually supports her life

I still remember the moment on our final call when she shouted, “I DID IT” Her whole face lit up!

It was one of those moments you never forget. (Well, I wont 🥹)

And the sentence she shared later moved me even more: “If you would have told that Janika from the beginning of the year, she would probably not believe it.”

This is what happens when a woman decides to invest in her growth.

When she chooses clarity instead of trying to figure it all out alone.

When she steps into support, structure and feminine leadership.

When she lets herself rise even if life feels full and uncertain behind the scenes.

This is ACCELERATE ❤️‍🔥
Our next round begins on January 12th.

The perfect moment to enter Q1 with alignment, confidence and flow.

If Janika’s story touched you, DM me “Janika” and I’ll share all the details. 💌

With love, Roos

✨ my practice started with a Groupon for hot yoga one freezing Canadian winter-
I was a teenage immigrant- feeling cold and out of place, but somehow landed in the perfect space: a warm community where I belonged, and a practice that made me feel safe in my body and heart for the very first time.

Becoming a teacher was serendipitous. Summer break of 2015, my engineering internship fell through — and my yoga studio had a last-minute spot in their teacher training. It was the easiest YES, and since have taught while finishing my degree. My graduation trip was a month in Rishikeish, India, studying in an ashram in the holy town.

Teaching gave me a platform where I wasn’t “too much” — not too woo, too emotional, too different... It was the first place I could share from my heart, drop the mask, and be myself. Yoga was the original “somatic therapy”, long before that word has been coined. It opened the door to my healing journey and to deepening into mindfulness, Qi Gong, and life coaching. It has always been my anchor when life feels uncertain, chaotic, or scary.
A safe place to return.
My home.

When I left my tech career and the identity I had worked my entire life to build — the “serious job” and credential that promised security and respect, yoga gave me purpose again. This time, real fulfillment.

It’s been a decade, yet each class feels more sacred than ever. Each practice, workshop, retreat, and circle continues to remind me why I started on this path- we all belong here in our body and in community.

Now, it’s my greatest joy to share it all, and holding scared space through a holistic surf & wellness retreat in Nicaragua. A week of somatic movement, ocean adventure, community, play, rest, and heart-centered practices to reset, find your flow, and come home to yourself too.

DM me to “retreat”to receive more information, and connect. I’d love to hear from you.

With a full heart of gratitude 🩵

Hosting my retreats with @roomtoroam.experiences this winter, and teaching @amarunicaragua for the summer season. Deepest gratitude to these communities for giving me a platform to share what I love.

Nothing says summer like a barefoot beach wedding.

Would love to do it all over again (preferably with less sand in my shoes after).

To my favorite German duo: I’m officially on your side of the pond now…

So if you’re ever up for round two, I’ll bring the vows. No shoes required. ☀️🌊👣

Last minute decision to join a yoga retreat to find space for myself, to reconnect to my strength to continue with traveling, life, through all the uncertainties.

What I found is the magic of community: when complete strangers become friends, sharing laughters and tears, showing up vulnerably, being accepted with love as who they are.

Although we came from completely different backgrounds and lived experiences, there were deep resonance in each other’s chapter in life.

That every pain and struggle, joy and growth has a common humanity on the path of a shared journey. In that we can breathe slower, relax into the discomfort in this moments, and have more room to welcome all the unknowns ahead.

If anyone feels alone, this is a reminder that you are not.

Deep gratitude for @ellarose.yoga for the space she holds with much love and @manayogaretreat for the most amazing retreat environment that feels like home, and every beautiful soul I met here sharing the same journey 🙏✨

My favorite part of an elopement? Hanging out with all of you, talking about your lives, holding your shoes or whatever.

When we say we get to know you two, we really mean it. We go beyond the usual questions of how you met and what made you fall in love. We want to know what your passionate about, what makes you two smile, what brightens a rainy day.

And most of all, we just want to make you feel damn comfortable on your wedding day!

Shoutout to @jmsdfilms who let me have the raw footage of this day, WHICH IS SHOT SO BEAUTIFULLY!!! 😍😍
