It’s been a year since @tonyfitzpatrick9 left us and not a day goes by that I don’t think about him. To say that Tony was an incredible human being would be an understatement. His generosity was downright overwhelming at times. He brought people together like no one I’ve ever met. He was fiercely loyal to those closest to him and went out of his way to support those around him always. Tony would have loved knowing that his family and friends got together tonight to laugh, cry and tell hilarious stories in his honor. There’ll never be another Tony Fitzpatrick.

30 years ago, I married my best friend in the world, and became a Joslin. ❤️ I am forever grateful that one fine fall day, outside the Art Institute of Chicago, Jared waved hello to his longtime crush, introduced himself, and then took me up on my offer of taxidermy lessons!!! 😉 I couldn’t imagine a more perfect partner in crime for navigating the crazy roller coaster of the artist’s life, and I am SO excited for many more marvelous adventures together!!! 🥰 Happy Anniversary to my brilliant and beloved hubby!!!!✨🥂✨

Behind every mask, there’s a story 🎭

Tomorrow, September 4 from 6 PM to 8 PM, West Town First Fridays welcomes Masquerade Menagerie, featuring artwork by Jared and Jessica Joslin at the West Town Chamber of Commerce on 1819 W Chicago Ave.

The Ukrainian Village artists have shared a studio for the past 30 years, creating two distinct but complementary bodies of work. Jared’s richly detailed paintings and Jessica’s intricate mixed media sculptures draw inspiration from the glamour, mystery and theatricality of circuses, carnivals and cabaret culture from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Stop in for the opening, then keep the night going as you explore West Town’s galleries and creative spaces. ✨
