30… as I end one decade and begin another, I can’t help but feel so full of gratitude. From family gatherings celebrating me to spending my birthday on the trip of a lifetime with some of my favorite people in Italy, the people in my life are truly incredible. Someone asked me, “When did you start caring so much about kids and youth ministry?” My answer? When I realized just how early the battle for identity begins. Our children are growing up in a world filled with voices attempting to define them—telling them who they are, who they should be, and how they should identify. Questions surrounding gender, pronouns, sexuality, worth, belonging, and identity are reaching children younger and younger. And I became deeply convicted about making sure God’s voice is one of the first voices they learn to recognize. My desire is to plant the seed of God’s Word in the hearts of His children while they are still seedlings themselves. 🌱 And honestly, youth ministry doesn’t always have to be dramatic or complicated. Sometimes it’s simply making the Bible easy for a child to understand. It’s teaching them that God made them. God loves them. God has a purpose for them. 💫It’s remembering their name. 💫It’s creating a safe environment. 💫It’s being patient when they’re restless. 💫It’s answering their questions. It’s showing them the love and kindness of Jesus until they begin to understand that Jesus loves them for themselves. My prayer is that we help raise a generation of children who don’t have to spend their adulthood trying to discover who they are because they learned early WHOSE they are. May they fall in love with Jesus at an early age. ✨May they know His Word. ✨May they recognize His voice. ✨May they be filled with His Spirit. ✨May their identity be rooted firmly in Christ. On Thursday night of #YLC2026, @_bishopmablue preached a message about being OPTIMIZED that has stayed with me. One of the things he shared was that leadership isn’t for the leader. Leadership is for the next generation—the people God has entrusted you to optimize, to develop, and to help bring out what He has already placed inside of them. And I realized: I have the honor of optimizing this team of bright, beautiful, brilliant leaders! These ladies help oversee the day-to-day operations of our children’s ministry, Spiritville, and this past Sunday, I got to watch them LEAD. THEY made sure check-in and registration ran smoothly. THEY ensured security and teachers were in place. THEY took initiative—assessing their own capacity and skill sets and sending me revised roles and responsibilities that better position each of them to thrive. THEY made sure our Social Media Team came downstairs to capture the special moments happening in Spiritville. THEY brought me creative ideas for future events and ways we can continue making the ministry better. And what excites me most is that I didn’t have to tell them to do all of it. They’re thinking. They’re creating. They’re problem-solving. They’re taking ownership. They’re LEADING. My job isn’t to be the smartest person in the room or to do everything myself. My job is to create the structure, provide the tools, give them room to grow, and call out what God has already placed inside of them. In a word… THEY’RE BEING OPTIMIZED! 🔥 And one of the greatest privileges of leadership is watching people become more confident, capable, and effective because you gave them the space to discover just how much was already inside of them. 💛 Today in Spiritville, we learned that forgiveness is powerful! Our kids explored the story of Joseph and discovered that even when people hurt us, disappoint us, or treat us unfairly, God can help us choose forgiveness. Joseph’s story reminds us that God can take what was meant for harm and use it for GOOD! 🙌🏾 And of course, learning is even more fun with a few surprises! 🎁📚 We sent our kids home with some goodies and books to keep encouraging them beyond Sunday. While some of our leaders were attending MLI taught by @matisawilbon , we had the privilege of spending the day with a few of their amazing kiddos at the Fernbank Science Center! 🦖🔬 Thank you @byrdixon23 for hosting us!! Mosaic Development Partners JV was proud to participate in the Washington School for Girls’ Career Day, connecting with an inspiring group of students eager to learn more about careers in real estate and marketing. Our team shared a behind the scenes look at what a day in the marketing department entails from shaping project narratives and building brand identity to leading community engagement and activating spaces through events and partnerships. We emphasized that there is no single path into this work and encouraged students to lean into their creativity, curiosity, and unique perspectives as they explore future opportunities. Thank you to the Washington School for Girls for the invitation and for creating space to empower the next generation of leaders.

This year we celebrated the Kickoff of the 21st DesignPhiladelphia Festival in our future home at the @villageofindustryandart .
