Where did Limestone Lures come from? I was fortunate enough to share the stage with Moose and Mark from the @cisa_fishing crew to talk about my small bait brand, my story and some of my products. In this clip, I give a small snapshot of how I found my passion for fishing as an adult and where the idea for Limestone Lures was born. #smallbusiness #madeincanada #fishing #cisakingstonopen #limestonelures

All smiles at the Limestone Lures booth this weekend during the @cisa_fishing Kingston Open and @madeincanada_tackleshows expo! Nearly 100 Random Acts of Kid-ness bags were made, which means I got to hear nearly 100 stories of kids being kind to others! From helping siblings clean up toys, giving a friend a hug when they were sad, playing with someone new in class on the first day in a new school so they wouldn't be lonely, and everything in between! So many people that had no idea what was going on stopped into the booth with their kids, many that had never been fishing before. It was always fun explaining the competition to them and their children, specially if they were around during the live weigh-ins! The only thing better than watching these awesome kids faces light up as they try to think of their best kind act, was seeing kids who have never fished before run back to their parents begging to go fishing right away so they can use their new lures! I'm so grateful to have this opportunity to share our passion and love of fishing with the next generation. Who knows, one of those kids whose first experience with fishing started with a story of kindness, might someday be standing on that very stage, holding a trophy smallmouth bass. #kidsfishing #morekindnessinourhearts #ygklove #bassfishing #bekind

Round three of the Kids, Cops and Canadian Tire Fishing Days for 2026 in the books! My fishing buddy and I got to attend this one, and it was awesome! There were so many different activities in addition to the fishing for kids to participate in and I dont think I saw a single kid that wasn't smiling all day! Well done to the sponsors, Gananoque Police Service, and all the rest of the Municipal, Provincial and Federal Law enforcement agencies that came out to spend time with the community and show off some of the impressive equipment they use to help keep us safe on and off the water! A special BZ and thank you to Sgt. Mike Driscoll who has been organizing this event for the past number of years! It wad a banger from day one, and just keeps getting bigger and better every year! @big.jim.mclaughlin @townofgananoque @gananoquepoliceservice

Frog fishing can be exhilarating and heartbreaking all within a fraction of a second. Don't forget to give those fish a second or three to properly eat your frogs before setting the hook! The new Road Toad is no different. Sometimes they engulf it on the strike, sometimes they need to reposition it once they're back underwater. Wait to see that line moving and you feel the weight in your rod tip before driving the hookpoint home. You'll still lose fish that never fully commit to the eat, but your overall hookup ratio will be higher! Put #morefishinthenet with Limestone Lures 💪 #limestonelures #bassfishing

I fished my first @okbt.ca event yesterday. I messaged @jeff.dicks to see if he wanted to come on and adventure and as luck would have it he was available. We had a great time! Thanks for the company and a place to crash! I knew it was going to be a challenge. That league is stacked with hammers that fish hard and know what they are doing. I had never been to the area, honestly onle ever glanced at lake Ontario a few times and was out of my depth bit planned to have fun, explore and learn something about the fishery. We got skunked on pre fish so we knew we were missing something entirely. Our whole plan got scrapped and we changed to plan B. The day started a bit late with some heavy rain that we got to just skip entirely then we got to fishing. It was a grind! The bite was subtle and there was no chasing anything for the fish I found. I caught a couple fish mid day and assumed I was correct in my assessment of the conditions and bite confirmed by a few other anglers who were pretty discouraged at their lack of success. I made the decision to stick to what I knew and fish a ball and chain all day long drifting and throwing to anything I could find that was slightly different. At about 1 I made a long run to a spot that was mentioned to us to look for and found it. With less than 2hrs left I was able to fill my Stinger refine the patern and put the hammer down on them. After catching one fish, getting a bump and droping one all day. I was even able to upgrade a couple of fish. I was on the patern getting a fish nearly every second drag and some good ones mixed in. I was able to increase my stringer almost 60 INCHES! from 1pm to cut off at 3! With my last upgrade less than 15 minutes from the end. I'm happy I trusted my gut and learned alot from this event. I miss doing tourneys big time and might have to fit a few more in my schedule! These big water events are a real challenge and you never know when you'll find that big school of fish that changes everything. I'm happy with my performance, it's not where I wanted to be but a new region explored, I found the fish and I finished near the top 3rd of the pack.

The Road Toad has sold out for the second time this week! Thank you to everyone that purchased them and everyone that waited patiently for the restock and then got their orders in. To those of you who missed them each time, I'm truly sorry that I couldn't make more of them faster, but I promise I'm busting my ass to pour and churn them out for you, and those of you following the Limestone Lures pages on Instagram and Facebook will be the first to know when they're available again. I poured every ounce of self taught design skill into this little frog and I went through a ton of iterative changes and tweaks to get the action and sound I was looking for. So naturally I had hoped that it would go over well. But I never could have imagined just how well it would land with all of you. Of course I'm grateful for all the people that bought them out, both times, but all of your likes, comments and shares are equally as valuable to me, whether you were able to buy them or not. It helps spread awareness of not just the Road Toad, In todays landscape of Social Media and AI, unless you have a big marketing budget and the team to spend it, that is how small businesses grow. As many of you know, Limestone Lures is just me, and while I have help from good friends from time to time, it's still a one man show. I literally cannot grow without you, whether it's in the form of a purchase on the webstore, or simply tapping that little heart. And for that, I am thankful for you. #limestonelures #morefishinthenet
