Tal'a al Badru, the second single from Ashwaaq, is out now on all platforms! Composed in 2014, Ashwaaq was one of my first explorations of harmonizing the maqam, featuring the great Aleppan vocalist, Khaled AlHafez, accompanied by string quartet. Here is a snapshot of the ending of the movement, a celebratory dance piece on B half-flat. Pre-order Ashwaaq and listen to the single wherever you get your music (Bandcamp is preferred). Link is in my bio!

New video release today! 🎉 Thank you to @the_strad_ magazine for featuring my performance of Eugene Ysaÿe’s Sonata No. 3, “Ballade.” I fell in love with this piece early on in my violin-playing journey and am excited to perform it here. Watch the full video on thestrad.com 📺 🎻

Honored that BBC Music Magazine gave Goyescas 5 stars! Thank you to Jeremy Pound for the especially kind words. ❤️✨

“Whether tripping beguilingly in the opening ‘Los Requiebros’ or delving deeply into heartfelt matters in ‘El amor y la muerte’, Charlotte Hu makes light of Goyescas’s notorious technical challenges in performances that are full of passion.”

Grammy voting has begun, and for the first time in my career, my latest album, PERSEVERANTIA, is on the ballot for the Grammy Awards!
If you’re a voting member of the Recording Academy, I would be deeply grateful if you would consider PERSEVERANTIA in the Best Contemporary Classical Composition category.
The album is available on all major streaming platforms except Spotify. You can also listen to the full album on YouTube, featuring visuals and scrolling scores (link in bio).
Thank you so much for your time, your support, and, most of all, for listening to my music. It means so much to me!

Hourglass, my first album for @naiverecords, has been submitted for GRAMMY® consideration in the Best Classical Instrumental Solo category.

I’ve collaborated with @philipglass for over ten years, and this recording feels like a milestone in that relationship as he approaches his 90th birthday. It pairs his Suite from The Hours with the Tirol Concerto, which went unperformed in New York for more than twenty years until I played it in 2023. With @bar.oklyn, the ensemble I founded, we focused on the larger beats so each voice could have its own ebb and flow. Baroklyn is a community built on listening, openness, and trust. We have a plan, but we stay open to the moment, and I hope you can hear that sense of togetherness. We were so fortunate to have the album produced, engineered and mastered by @professorsilas and recorded at @kaufmanmusiccenter.
I hope you can give Hourglass a listen. Link in bio.
