This Friday night (September 11th) we’re holding our next free music panel on the value of community.

Is community really just a stepping stone to a music career, or is it what actually makes survival possible? This panel explores how to find your people, build your own scenes, and create ecosystems where artists thrive together.

We’ll discuss what community actually means in a music career? Is it essential infrastructure for sustainability, or a public good worth building for its own sake? How do you foster genuine support in an industry built on competition?

All of this, and more, on Friday w @jess.f.u @kuyaneil_ @natpavlovic at our home away from home @highnote_____

Comment ‘community’ to lock in your RSVP or head over to the link in bio.

Jess Fu from CRASHER
LINK IN BIO 🔗

@jess.f.u is a DJ, award-winning music journalist, and the mind behind @crashermusic_ . Born and raised in Aotearoa, Jess has worked from Australia to LA, having contributed to indie music cornerstones like RNZ, NTS, and Dublab. After years of navigating the commercial pitfalls of the music industry, Jess decided to put her experience and ethos into something she could call her own. In 2024, she founded CRASHER, a booking agency dedicated to platforming an eclectic lineup of established and emerging artists.

This September, Jess Fu and CRASHER are taking over the Metro Social @metro_theatre for a month-long residency. Every Wednesday, a carefully curated lineup of local and interstate indie acts will take the stage. All shows are free with a simple RSVP — yes, you read that correctly.

‼️CRASHER TAKES ON SYDNEY‼️

i’m beyond excited to announce a month long residency at Metro Social [@metro_theatre] in Sydney with the hottest lineup. Every Wednesdays in September, FREE entry with RSVP

This is one of the biggest things I’ve taken on (so far) at CRASHER. I managed to put together such a dream lineup with local NSW and interstate acts. The Sydney music scene is underrated.

My approach to curating a program is the same as putting together a radio show. Pairing artists that don’t fit on paper but when you hear it or see it, it makes sense. They elevate each other.
