This surprise birthday party deserves a spot on my page. It is permanently in my heart and something I will never forget. The love and thoughtfulness of everyone involved to make this day is something that healed a part of my soul. 💓💓💓💓
I am so grateful that I get to turn 37 and have all of you in my life. There is no greater gift than you. Xo.

Its taken me a week to finally get to writing about our last little entering the double digits. Hugh turned 10 last week and we are all in our feels about it. To say this guy has been spicy over the past ten years would be an understatement. He is blunt, hilarious, wildly confident, incredibly smart and a super athlete. Hugh is the kind of kid who will tell you your idea is crap in one breath, but will have you in tears with a sweet word or gesture in the next. He is a numbers guy and has a vault of a memory (for better or worse). He is a soccer superstar and a hockey boy... and Jess' best friend in the entire world. We love him endlessly and love watching the evolution of his little Hugh-man life. Happy Birthday Hughie.

Dear hockey,

Thank you for the memories, experiences, life lessons and friendships that I’ll carry with me forever. While I’ll miss lacing up the skates every day alongside my best friends, my knees can finally rest after 27 long years 🕊️

Thank you to everyone who played a role in my hockey career: the fans, my coaches/support staff for putting up with me, my family🫶🏻, and especially my teammates who somehow made the chaos worth it and kept pushing the game to places we never thought possible while having an absolute blast doing it.

While next season will look a bit different🩺, this sport will always hold a huge place in my heart because of the people I met who became family along the way🤍

With love and sore knees,
Hannah
