It’s been awhile since my last post, so here are some things from the past year.

I started competing as a powerlifter which has been great. I was even was fortunate enough to coach a great group at USAPL Collegiate Nationals in New Orleans with @jmliftz__ .

This summer I had the great opportunity to be an intern with the UGA Football Strength & Conditioning staff. Through this internship, I was able to learn from the fantastic coaches they have, and it led me to my next step in my career. As the summer was wrapping up, I was offered a position as a paid intern with the UGA Olympic Strength & Conditioning staff. I also have to thank all my fellow interns for making the summer the best it could be @logan_hickman @jpainter_19 @karleygotlin @colebrincks @brandon_morgan11 @mphicks0615 @tonestrength_ @firstname_yates @big_mank55 @k.akhr_04 @brynntopolski @carson.hendrix15 @jwuenschj @caeden_callahan.

Most importantly, I wouldn’t have been able to do any of this without the love and support from @audreyparrott. It’s not easy being in a long distance relationship for years at a time as both of us were going through grad school. She’s been amazing through it all, and I can’t ever thank her enough.

As coach, my mission for the 26/27 school year comes down to two main goals: building the strongest sport club on campus and achieving 100% platform participation. I want to encourage every single lifter to step onto the platform this season, whether it is your very first local or regional meet, or you are repping us on the national and world stages.

Writing strength programs for the past four years is what directly inspired me to pursue my degree in Kinesiology and Sport Science. Building this club is where applied science meets real platform results.

Drop a comment below if you are ready to hit the platform with us this season! 👇

This was my first powerlifting competition, and it was an absolutely great experience.

A huge thank you to the @etsupowerlifting team for being at this meet. The advice my teammates gave me and just having that support system there made a world of difference. I also want to thank those who took videos and pictures for me!

Squat: 227.5kg (501lbs)

Bench: 155kg (341lbs) — For my 2nd and 3rd attempts I tried to hit 385lbs, but it just wasn't there for this meet. Nevertheless, better bench numbers are sure to come.

Deadlift: 245kg (540lbs)

Total: 627.5kg (1383lbs)
Bodyweight: 97.5kg (215lbs)
Dots score: 390
