My LP, ‘Irreparable Parables’, has been nominated for @sayaward The album wouldn’t be much at all without the contributions of @mossblown (@belleandsebastian), @gruffingtonpost (@superfurryanimals), @molly.linen, @tenniscoats_majikick, @brewiskibeat (@fieldmusicmusic), @kathrynjoseph_ , @robinsutherlandmastering, @cellopete, @claypipemusic_francescastle & @state51 Was a massive all consuming undertaking for me, but making something with these humans was the stuff of dreams. 🙏 Limitless gratitude to truly brilliant pals and musicians who breathed life through the songs on tour this year, audiences who took a punt, shops who stocked, DJs who spun. It’s tougher than ever out there to have time and resources to create, record music and book your own tours, so huge congratulations to all the amazing artists on the list and to all albums being made out there that soar below, above and beyond any awards radars. ❤️ Thank you @murraychalmers @murraychalmerspr for their support in getting the word out on this strange, wee trundler. 📷 #3: @monorail_music

Very proud of my pals and I tonight for getting a longlist nod from the @sayaward for the record we made last year. Almost 20 years of making music together, more than half of that with our dear pal @stewiestugoodall who must have been off getting chips when this pic was taken a few years back. Here’s to the next 20 years. (Jks at least one of us will surely be dead) Lx @the_smia @chemikalunderground #sayaward

Infinity World #4 🌎🌍🌏 Sunday 2 August 2026 12pm - 1pm Infinity World returns this Sunday for a very special show. We'll be chatting to Joe Rattray, musician, booker and all round wonderful human, about the forthcoming documentary 'Bel', for which he was music arranger. Bel is a portrait of Beldina Odenyo, aka Heir of the Cursed, an extraordinary musician, artist and writer who took her own life in 2021, leaving behind raw, intimate video diaries and a hard drive full of original songs of great beauty. The film is premiering at the Edinburgh International Film Festival this month. We'll chat about the process, the film, hear some music, and also just remember our friend Beldina. Live on @doyou.world and @radio_buena_vida

A trip to London’s South By South West 🥁 The Selector team heads to the Capital to explore @sxswlondon. We witness some fab performances and see plenty of new artists. Amidst all this, we catch up with multi-talented artist @chisara_ about their time on the Musicians In Residence programme, ahead of their performance for BBC Introducing. We follow that with a chat with French-American neo-soul performer @gaia.jea recorded after their performance at @@pitchscotland The Ditch. Hear a Tastemaker Tip from @joerattray, co-programmer behind @glasgowjazzfest (which turns 40 this year!) Also there’s an After Dark Mix from @_darama.world a London based DJ and Producer who often blends UKG, RnB and hip-hop through South Asian textures. Plus, many more tunes from the likes of @iluvlamaya @kyravision @hanakiv and @oscjerome 🎧 Listen at the link in bio. #UKMusicScene #NewMusic #MusicDiscovery #UKMusic #SelectorRadio Musician GAÏA and presenter Mo Ayoub pose together against a grey concrete wall. GAÏA wears a navy track jacket and smiles toward the camera, while Mo Ayoub wears a black hoodie and a backwards cap. “Selector Radio” branding appears vertically on the left, with a four-circle logo in the upper-right corner.
