From a dream to today 🖤

“Love Is All I Need”, the first single from HWIN’s debut EP “Just Like a Flower”, comes out today on 57 Records, our community driven label.

Thank you for being part of this journey from the very beginning. Finally, we emerge.

One of our first live techno performances at @57.nyc nearly 5 years ago.

That evening I joined @doug.desmond & @simonhoffmannmusic on the 909 to add drums to the ambient electronica vibes they had been developing with their band @frozenfieldsband.

It’s fun to see the early days of the studio in action. So much has changed, but the spirit remains the same.

What if you said YES to every opportunity?

According to composer/producer @davidpm, saying yes was the key to his early success and led to co-producing MGMT’s debut EP, Time to Pretend.

For the 2024 season premier of FAM we featured guest speakers David & Robert Perlick-Molinari of YouTooCanWoo & Toucan Sounds.

FAM aims to bring together friends in the creative industries for an intimate evening of conversation, connection, and community.

If you’d like to join us for the next one, go to fiftyseven.nyc and sign up for the invite list. We’d love to welcome you.

And it was good. Summer 23 is a wrap. I I wasn’t able to complete the lyrics for the new album, but for once I didn’t beat myself up about it. I this summer was filled with so many spontaneous moments in music at all the festivals and little one offs, we got to play. It was good waves with mates, and deepening the bonds of family, and from this, I know the words will come when they are ready. Ok, then ready for Fall

Debuting on Rufus Du Sol’s Rose Ave Records, “Metropolis Heights” by @johnnyhwin marks a vibrant journey from indie band Cathedrals’ Johnny Hwin. Feel the energy of his move to Brooklyn, his dive into modular synths, and the birth of creative hub ‘57’ in this track. ⚡
