Having a hidden message inside your ring makes it uniquely yours. Hand engraving the inside of rings is tricky but a part of the job I love. I’m using a 120° and a flat cmax gravers to create the Roman letters with serifs. Thanks for the support!

A fast one on one workshop with, Will Griffin who came into learn inside ring engraving. The best thing about teaching is seeing how much progress can be made in a short period of time. We covered script and Roman font and the fundamentals of hand drawing and hand engraving letters. Lots to cover and many huge gains to be had! Thanks for spending time in the north with us, Will!

Grand Masters 2025 program at @grstools training center was above and beyond my expectations. I’m truly thankful for our incredible instructor Lee Griffiths who is an amazing artist, teacher, and mentor @leegriffithsengraving
On top of a wonderful teacher we also had an incredible group of students and peers to share these two weeks with. The other class being taught by Michael Robinson @davidmichaeljewels it was awesome to meet him and he’s so gracious with sharing his knowledge.
Being able to spend two weeks at the GRS education center was really spectacular. It was my first time being a student at GRS rather than an instructor and I loved it! The project really pushed me as an engraver. The 24K gold inlay was the thinnest I’ve ever done, at 0.18mm. I made many new friends and connected with life long ones. Thank you everyone for sharing the love for the art of hand engraving, and hand made jewelry! ❤️

Highlights from the week of teaching Introduction to Pavé at the @grstools training facility.
.
Students learned how to hand engrave bright cuts both long and short. Drilling and hand cutting prongs for various sizes in different layouts.
.
Some were apprehensive when I told them we would be hand polishing our gravers and not using a graver hone. By the end of the week, students were all saying that they preferred hand sharpening for stone setting. The techniques and methods taught serve as a foundation of knowledge these students will continue to grow upon.

The white crane is Florentine finished to burst with light and life. The mixed sizes of perfectly cut @grunbergerdiamonds made this one of a kind pendant that much better. Scintillating like a disco ball and an heirloom quality.
