POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Thank you to everyone who has donated to help repair the damage caused by Storm Rachel. Your generosity is making a real difference in the lives of affected families.

In many homes, floodwaters rose as high as one meter (over three feet) indoors. The damage has been extensive, including flooded interiors, overflowing septic systems, destroyed beds and furniture, washed-out access roads and pathways, and damaged walls and roofs.

While our partners at Baja Ed provide clothing and food to those in need, Baja Bound is focusing on helping families recover by restoring their homes and making them safe and livable again.

How are we doing this?

• Repairing access roads and pathways, including renting heavy machinery and bringing in truckloads of fill dirt.
• Clearing mud and debris from homes and surrounding areas.
• Painting and weatherproofing damaged homes.
• Repairing roofs and other structural damage.
• Providing essential construction materials to help families rebuild, and bedding.

Every donation helps us take another step toward restoring these homes and giving families a safe place to return to. Our fundraising campaign for families remains open:

Thank you for standing with our community during this difficult time. #stormrelief #socialwork #building

We’ve begun! 🫒

The first phase of construction is underway at Rancho Olivos Community Center a step toward creating a place of welcome, connection, and opportunity for migrant and indigenous families in Baja.

We’re grateful for the donations beginning to come in and for the people helping this vision take shape. There’s still significant work ahead, but these early steps give us so much hope.

We’ll keep sharing the progress as we build, one phase at a time. If you’d like to help support this beginning, send us a message to learn more.

Thank you for being part of the story. ❤️

What if life really is some kind of video game…

And we’ve all been trying to beat the wrong level?

I spent a lot of my life thinking the next level was more.

More money. More success. Bigger goals. Bigger things.

But the more of the world I’ve gotten to see, the more I’ve started questioning that.

I’ve seen what a roof means to someone who’s never had one.

What a locking door can mean to a mother trying to keep her kids safe.

What one meal, clean water, or an education can mean to a child.

And it makes me wonder…

What if THAT is the level we’re supposed to beat?

What if our job is simply to make sure every human being has the basics:

A roof.
A locking door.
Food.
Clean water.
An education.

And maybe God, Mother Nature, the universe—whatever you believe created all of this—is waiting for us to figure out how to take care of each other before showing us what comes next.

I don’t know.

But at 40, I’m becoming a lot less interested in seeing how much I can accumulate…

and a lot more interested in seeing what happens when we make sure everyone has enough.

Maybe that’s how we unlock the next level. ❤️

Climbing the stairs for coffee… so we can keep raising roofs in Baja. ☕️🏠🌵

Our ribs may be broken, but our mission is strong! Every cup of Broken Rib Coffee helps support Baja Bound as we build homes, restore hope, and serve families throughout Baja.

A ten-year-old girl should never have to become the reason we finally act.

Rosita’s story ended far too soon—but her life can inspire us to create something that protects the children who are still here.

We’re challenging 25,000 people to give just $10.

Together, we can build a Community Center in Baja that will:

❤️ Feed children
📚 Provide education
🏠 Offer safe daycare
🩺 Bring medical care to families

Through our 100% Promise, every dollar you give goes directly toward this project.

Here’s the challenge:

1. Give $10 through the link in our bio.
2. Challenge five people you love.
3. Don’t wait for someone to challenge you.

25,000 people.
$10 each.
One life-changing Community Center.

Let’s honor Rosita. Let’s protect children. Let’s break the internet with giving. ❤️ https://givebutter.com/bajacommunitycenter

BIG NEWS—WE’RE IN! 🌵🏡

Baja Bound has officially taken possession of Rancho Olivos!

After years of dreaming, praying and searching, this abandoned farmhouse will begin its transformation into a place where families are welcomed, children are fed, medical clinics are offered and job skills are taught.

We still have work ahead—including completing the process toward full legal title—but this is a huge step forward.

Today, we’re simply celebrating and inviting you to follow the journey as this dream becomes reality.

Welcome to Rancho Olivos. This is only the beginning!

“But I am like an olive tree...I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever” Psalm 52:8

A historic day for Baja Bound! 🌵= 🫒?

After years of praying, planning, and persevering, Baja Bound has officially taken legal possession of Rancho Olivos!

For nearly 25 years, this abandoned olive ranch has been waiting for a new purpose. Our vision is to transform it into the Rancho Olivos Community Center—a place where local families can receive food, medical care, job training, encouragement, and hope. It will also provide much-needed lodging and offices for the Baja Bound team.

There is a tremendous amount of work ahead, but today we celebrate what God has already done—and look forward with faith to what He will do next.

This is only the beginning. Follow along, pray with us, and help us bring Rancho Olivos back to life!
