(1/2) Invite the Unknown

Nearly five years ago, I submerged two disposable film cameras in liquid before shooting them. Not to achieve something, but to release control.

I shot a few frames, forgot about them, moved apartments three times, and eventually rediscovered the cameras in an old box. I had no memory that the film had ever been altered.

I finished the rolls and sent them in without expectation. What came back felt like divine timing, and became a time capsule of my memories in the city.

I’ll be sharing more of these photos throughout the week, let me know your favorites 🧐

Film photos around NYC from the last year or so.

I love capturing these little memories of fleeting moments that I would otherwise forget.

I have so many cake and food videos from years past that I now feel like sharing with my Internet friends (and strangers…maybe even enemies?!), enjoy!
