I really believe students (and journalists) can change the world. Or at least try to.

Diana Ayoub sat down with Fogue for their famous 73 Questions series to share a look into her life and home. In the video, she walks around her beautiful Ammani house while answering quick questions about her career, hobbies, and personal tastes.

IT’S THE FINAL LAP! We need just $2,000 left to reach our greenlight goal! Link in our bio to donate! Every contribution — no matter the size — will go directly toward finishing our documentary and ensuring this story can reach audiences around the world.

This film asks urgent questions about journalism, power, censorship, and whose stories get told. In the current political moment, these conversations matter now more than ever.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far, whether by donating, sharing our work, or cheering us on. Independent documentaries are only possible because of communities like this one, and we’re deeply grateful to have you with us.

Just about a week left for THE STORY WE BROKE crowdfunding campaign⚡

Coverage of Gaza has exposed, in real time, how corporate funding and institutional pressure shape what gets reported, who gets platformed, and who is credible. Palestinian journalists and voices have been systematically sidelined. Student reporters filled that gap, producing some of the most honest, rigorously documented work of the past two and a half years.

This film is a call to action for journalists to reckon with the responsibility of honest, community-centered reporting and for audiences to develop stronger media literacy. Support the team to bring this film across the finish line: bit.ly/storywebroke

Throwback to February, when Gaia & Jude were filming together in Amman, Jordan... a city that is home to both of them.

Fun fact: they actually went to the same summer camp as kids!

This photo was taken at Amman's beautiful Citadel, surrounded by centuries of history. Between filming, we hugged a lot, ate incredible mansaf, and found ourselves reflecting on everything that had happened since the Gaza Solidarity Encampment. At the time, it felt like things couldn't get any worse. Yet through it all, we've continued to show up for one another.

We're excited to share where this journey has taken us, and how our film builds on the lessons, relationships, and questions that emerged from the encampments. We have a few days of our crowdfunding campaign left; can you help us share this story with a friend today? 💞

Happy @darializaforny day, New York!

Before seizing a stunning victory in New York’s 13th congressional district and becoming the first Dominican woman elected to Congress, Darializa Avila Chevalier was an ardent student organizer, seen here in our film exchanging a sweet moment with participant @maryam_alwan_ during Columbia University’s encampments on Maryam’s 22nd birthday 🍉🩷

To holding firm to a moral compass for Palestine, from the halls of Congress to the lawns of universities, keep supporting the stories and voices that matter.

The protests at Columbia University in 1968 are often referenced as one of the most notable college demonstrations of that year, but they were not the first. About a month prior, students at Howard University closed down campus for four days, originating the tactic of occupying an administration building as protest. And of course, the student journalists were there to break this story from the inside.

Our film builds upon this legacy of student journalism to tell the story of what happened at Columbia’s Gaza Solidarity Encampments and how mainstream media failed once again. Support our crowdfunding today–we’re almost halfway to our goal! bit.ly/storywebroke

When we first started this project, we knew we could lean on community to show up to screenings & get the word out once the film was finished, but we’ve been so encouraged to see all the support already as we’re pushing to get across the finish line. We cannot believe we are at the halfway mark of this campaign! We are so grateful to have already raised 26% (!!!). We need to hit 80% of our $30K goal in order to receive ANY contributions, so please help us spread the word–text your loved ones, forward our emails to a colleague, any extra bit helps 🤍
