A very proud day at Pure Jiujitsu.

Congratulations to all of our kids who graded today. Every new belt and stripe represents much more than just technical progress it represents consistency, discipline, confidence, resilience and hard work.

A huge thank you to all of the parents for trusting us with your children. We take that responsibility seriously, and we’ll always do our best to help them develop not only the skills to defend themselves, but the character and discipline that Jiujitsu can build for life.

Very proud of every single one of them.

Thank you also to our amazing coaches <3.

Keep showing up. Keep learning. Keep growing. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

One entry. More than one finish.

Armbar entry → reverse triangle → shoulder lock.

Breaking down how to connect the attacks, keep control and find the finish.

Save this for your next drilling session.

When your opponent shuts everything down, use the lapel to create the space yourself.

A simple way to open the position and expose the triangle.

Save it and try it next time you’re training gi.

UFC Fight Night: Song vs Nurmagomedov

What could Song have done better from this half-guard position?

Here’s my breakdown of the exchange, along with one option he could have used to improve his position.

Of course, it’s much easier to make the right decision when you’re not being hammer-fisted in the face…. #bjj #ufc #ufcfightnight #halfguard #mma
