MY GREAT TEAM ‘SWANNING’ AROUND

In this week’s Chair teacher training.

Never underestimate the Pilates Chair! It’s very humbling. What appears easy at first
glance, is not all what it is in practice.

There are lots of subtleties to consider. Adapting not to the movement alone, but to the Swan doing the exercise! 😉
Body type, limb weight and length etc.

Teaching this type of exercise to a group is far more challenging than for a 1:1.

This team has been super committed, dedicated and tireless in their pursuit to get it right!

I had a window to practice for the next Chair course I’m giving this week.

Pull-up Hamstring 3 & variations.
Threw that single arm version in for some 🌶️

Many of us educators love the Pilates Chair. When I first encountered it, I just couldn’t grasp the vast repertoire and challenge involved!

It’s fun but it’s also beneficial, sensory feedback for breath, alignment, timing, control etc.
