What an October.
2025 was a big year for me. There were so many transitions with feelings of overwhelm. The vision I had for my life, my marriage, and my family was being challenged to the extreme. The term breathe has taken on a whole new and deeper meaning for me.

What I know.
I know that no matter what is going on, there is a plan for my life. It is a plan that is good. That even if things seem chaotic and painful there is still a plan, and it is a good plan. Endurance with patience is essential.

Big decisions.
When there are lots of big decisions being made it is not the time to make another big decision. This is a phrase that showed up in my life and the phrase that helped keep me grounded.

Self-Care.
Same God, Secret Garden, and Because You Loved Me, were my vision songs. They helped me stay grounded and focused.

2026.
A year of new beginnings.
New beginnings can sounds easy. However, they can also be super tough. It takes a willingness to do real gut work. Getting really clear on who you are. What in your life is worth surrendering to, rocking the boat for, and going after. While keeping in mind a win-win, generous mentality for everyone involved. When one person wins, one loses, and both lose.

Two questions, 1) Can I do it? 2) Is it worth it?
Quitting or cutting off is not the answer most of the time. It might feel right. Instead take a break. We need space, and space is good. Reworking, rethinking, and recreating can become some of your best friends.

New surroundings.
New relationships with ourselves and others, and staying connected to meaningful ones. Those who walk alongside us that help us to grow, embrace life, and inspire us to want to be our best selves. I hope to be someone who gives reciprocally in the same way.

Enjoy life.
Each day is a gift that we won’t get back. We can choose how to live it. Life is good. There is a plan for each of us. Protect the good. Lean into it. At the end of the day tell yourself at least one way you are proud of yourself for the decisions you made. If you’re not proud of your decisions maybe consider reworking, rethinking, and recreating. If I can do it, you can, too.

@katieharms put it this way: “It’s one giant big mentorship.”

In S11 E5, Katie, @lisarubin_wardrobeconsulting and @michberthiaume share stories about the people who guided them, the lessons that stayed with them, and the importance of passing that wisdom along.

Wednesday wisdom:

Sometimes, it really is the little things.

A little mascara.
A swipe of lipstick.
And suddenly, you feel a little more put together, a little more confident, and ready to take on the day.

It’s not about changing who you are—it’s about giving yourself that little boost that changes how you show up.

Because when you feel good about your presentation, it can change your whole day.
