@amandakbrinkman Purpose Pursuit packed the @guthrietheater with possibility. 💛

Amanda shared a year of her research, and two themes resonated beautifully: service and mentorship.

@roxanebattle known for bringing joy, did just that as MC. Proud of my fellow Roseville peep!

Amanda’s special guest was @themonicanassif of Mrs. Meyer’s fame (@mrsmeyerscleanday), who brought her beautiful mother, Thelma Meyer.

At 94, Thelma wowed the room with pearls of wisdom, one being:
“Worry is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do, but it doesn’t get you anywhere.”

Amanda also brought David Booth to the stage. An aspiring speaker, athlete and Special Olympics board member, I’d say he has a wonderful career ahead of him.

Amanda shared beautiful lessons on timing: what we learn along the way, and when is the right time to get on the bus. 🚌

So many familiar faces! A lovely, foundational discussion with the incomparable @nylons 😉, we enveloped Mary Younggren in our photo, and it was great to see Katie Burke and Jill Palmquist.
Personally, this is becoming an annual event with wonderful friends. The group is a bit fluid depending on who can make it, but I’ve given us a name: the Purpose Pursuit Posse! We are the embodiment of what Amanda talks about. We show up for each other, mentor each other and love each other. This year we even welcomed @michelle.murgatroyd.10, visiting from South Africa.

Amanda is part of The View in Your Mirror family (S7 E5), and Monica will join us soon. Stay tuned! 🎙️

I encourage you all to create a posse. I suspect many of you already have one. It certainly doesn’t need formality. It simply needs a desire to keep showing up. 💗
