¡Se Graduó la Piña! I’m officially FIU Alumna 🎓🙌🏽 Shout out to Jesus for holding my life together while I finished my Bachelors of Science in Social Work. I’m grateful for my family, more specifically my mom (I’m kinda like a handful and she only has two hands 🤷🏽‍♀️). My mother held me all the way down, even when we didn’t agree, she believed in my ability to be resilient and overcome. I thank God for My Rock and all the love that was so timely placed in my life. I made it.... but it still ain’t over. Next stop... Stay tuned 😅

I’m blessed. I survived everything intended to harm and end me. 26 years God has kept me. He has shown me purpose in all pain. He has shown me love without measure. I am grateful on this day to celebrate another year of life because, truth is, I almost didn’t make it a few times but, by His grace I’m here ❤️🙏🏽

Why is there such shame in brokenness?
Why such fear in vulnerability?
As if the responsibility to keep the world whole exceeded the need for yours to combust like confetti.
Why the guilt?
Why should the ashes of your old existence fertilize the dreams of all they thought you should be?
You were always the sacrifice...
When weight of your tongue was never greater than the one in your chest
But...
What if you let go?
What if you admit all the things they knew but convinced you against feeling?
What if for once the only thing that hurt was all the truths you told... Would candor be a fair exchange for your salvation?
