What a wonderful evening celebrating Urban Plein Air 🎨✨

Yesterday, we gathered at the Eccles Theater for the Urban Plein Air opening reception, bringing together talented artists, art enthusiasts, and community members for an evening of art, connection, and conversation.

It was incredible to see such a wonderful turnout and to hear the thoughtful conversations sparked by the artwork. Thank you to all the artists who shared their creativity and perspectives, and to everyone who joined us in celebrating their work!

A special thank you to our partner The Blocks, and their Program Director Lucas Horns for collaborating on this exhibition. Thank you to Angela Vanderwall, and Associate Deputy Mayor Katherine Fife for their support and contributions to making this event possible.

We are grateful for a community that continues to show up for the arts and the artists who make Salt Lake County's creative landscape so vibrant!

Missed the reception? Urban Plein Air 2026 will be on view at the Eccles Theater through March 22, 2027! Stop by and experience the artwork for yourself.

Before & After: The Guest Bath

Sometimes a room doesn’t need a complete overhaul to be completely transformed. We kept the original floorplan and millwork, replaced the tile and vanity, and added wallpaper and decorative lighting. We will always advocate for a bold tile in a guest bath!

The Mudroom at Rustic Grandeur also acts as entrance to a beautiful outdoor dog run, so when our clients commissioned these paintings of their dogs we knew we had the perfect place to hang them. Another testament to our belief that art should be personal and tell a story about the people (and animals) who live in the home.

We’re so excited to introduce our Workshop SLC instructors ☺️🫶🏻

These photos are a little reminder that we were all once kids—unsure of where art would take us, learning through mistakes, and dreaming about what we might create one day.

Every skill we have now was built over time, through practice, curiosity, and a lot of trial and error.

Today, we feel so lucky to share that journey with our students—watching you grow, explore your own creative path, and discover what art can mean to you.

Thank you to everyone who has walked through the doors of Workshop SLC and continues to dream alongside us 💛

In honor of women. As Women’s history month comes to a close we are admiring the talented women who make our lives better. Art around the studio crafted by female artists, books from talented female designers, a framed photo of my designer mother. Proud to be a woman founded company who has the privilege of working alongside so many other incredible women.

“Every woman’s success should be an inspiration to another. We’re strongest when we cheer each other on.” -Serena Williams

January 25, 2026.
Spent the afternoon processing feelings of rage, grief, sorrow, fear, community, power, hope, balance. Trying to find direction through the practice of art making.

Thinking about a letter Monet wrote while painting through WW1, “Yesterday I resumed work. It’s the best way to avoid thinking of these sad times. All the same I feel ashamed to think about my little researches into form and color while so many people are suffering and dying...”

Together we will make it to the other side.
