One more Opry post!! My friend Jane @janesdresses made me this beautiful jumpsuit for my dad’s Opry debut! She is an incredible seamstress and puts so much care and time into her work. It was amazing to watch the final product get made, starting with just a sketch and morphing into this work of art!

Jane made the process so fun, she wanted to hear all my ideas and how I wanted it to look, as well as taking time for multiple fittings and alterations. She also just started a business!! You can find her gorgeous material at https://www.janesdresses.com/ as well as her incredible YouTube channel, Jane’s Dresses!!

Had a truly magical night last Friday playing the @opry with my dad @combsmattstrings!!
He’s been through the wringer trying to get this record out and I’m super proud of him- finally stepping into the circle after watching from the staff band for years is a huge deal and not many people can say they’ve accomplished that!!

Here’s to 50 more years of Clown School!!

Here’s a sneak peek of our EPIC The Musical Medley from the Nashville Parthenon a few weeks ago! 🥹

When I tell you it was EPIC (pun intended…) singing these songs in this venue with 250 people… that is an understatement!

With @thevoicetemple - it’s not just about ancient songs and music- but it’s also about myth, magic, world building, and storytelling. While I am writing my Athena musical- the music from EPIC the musical has been a huge inspiration. Thank you @jayherrans for the incredible work that inspires so many!

Thanks @fionamauramusic for the capture!

What an incredible experience watching @streettheatreco’s closing night production of my musical “The Woodsman” with some amazing friends!🤩🎻

My heart is full after my special visit to @thebarbershoptheater in Nashville, Tennessee! I love that this work, which started as a college project, continues to find its place in the hearts of amazing performers and audiences like those at @streettheatreco.

What a phenomenal job by lead @paytonjustice_ (Nick Chopper/The Tinman 👏🏾), @david.lin06 (violinist 🙌🏾), and the entire cast and crew. You all certainly led with great heart, made this piece your own, and I couldn’t be more proud to have experienced it firsthand!

The evening was even more special because I got to share another facet of my heart with two amazing artists: @kraitz, an incredible composer & cellist from our @sunypurchase college years and creator of @classical.615, and @sarah_fazendin, the recent concertmaster of the North American Broadway tour of @soundofmusicontour and a sought-after collaborator for new musicals in development🫶🏾🫶🏾

At a time when theater is facing its own unprecedented challenges, we should be supporting local and regional theater as much as we can! If you know me, you know I’d rather not take advantage simply because I’m a creator of a project. So I flew to Nashville specifically for closing night, enjoyed a few tins of red wine🍷😂 and purchased my own tickets!

Why? Because it’s so important to keep the arts alive, especially at a time like this❣️

Thank you so much, @streettheatreco, for an unforgettable experience! @paytonjustice_, @david.lin06, and the rest of the cast, I can’t wait to see what you do next!😁

Cheers to a wonderful closing night performance!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

“The Woodsman” by James Ortiz, Dr. Edward W. Hardy, and Jay Adana. Street Theatre Company’s closing night production, Saturday, August 29, 2026.

OUT NOW! Wherever you listen.
@rayoncitymaterials x @bethmalc

Beth has one of the most singular voices I’ve had the pleasure of hearing. To me, she and her music effortlessly seem to skate between guttural and delicate, traditional and modern, intimate and open.

Such a big fan of Beth’s, was an honor to rework a new landscape to this song of hers.

Beth Malcolm - voice
@benplotnickfiddle - violins, violas
