Caravaggio was a flawed but extraordinary man. At the be of his life, was he absolved? What did his art mean? We will never know, but our sold-out crowd laughed and cried through our original production, “Caravaggio and his Confessors: Murder, Music & Caravaggio”. On to the next show!

@arualbohn plays a resentful, abused ex of Caravaggio. As the famed painter lays on his death bed, what will her final act be for the man that controlled so much of her life? Find out at 7thstreetconcerts on October 9 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church at 7pm as we explore the good, the bad, and the ugly sides of Caravaggio through music, storytelling, and more. Tickets at 7thstreetconcerts.org. Created and directed by @mintzerjulia

🎭 This @wednightliveclt, experience the dramatic world of “Caravaggio | Revolution” through an evening of Baroque music and storytelling with @7thstreetconcerts.

Featuring internationally acclaimed theorbo player John Lenti, soprano Laura Bohn (@arualbohn), and directed by Julia Mintzer (@mintzerjulia) this special performance brings the emotion and theatricality of the 17th century to life.

🎶 Enjoy selections inspired by Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo and its contemporaries, performed by a small ensemble and additional vocalists, while exploring the connections between Baroque visual art and music.
