Notes:
-Accepted that my cravings are more for movement than they are for food lol
-Almost 2 weeks after easing back into Muay Thai
-Feeling significantly more energetic than 1st trim
-More confident doing pad work after carefully gauging what pace is comfortable for me
-2-3x of strength training per week and 1-2x of muay thai has been manageable (for now)

A first for Maison Thallo 🥹🌿 Our very first event floral styling!

There was so much that went into preparing for this one. Aligning closely with the client, creating floral mock-ups, listening to feedback, making adjustments, and figuring out how to bring the tropical theme to life while still making it feel like Maison Thallo.

And of course, I learned that no amount of planning means everything will go exactly as planned 😅 Some of the flowers I wanted weren’t available for pre-order, so the day before the event meant quickly pivoting, looking for alternatives, and getting creative while keeping the overall floral design aligned with what we had envisioned.

Seeing all the tropical floral centerpieces finally come together on the tables made all the preparation worth it. So happy with how everything turned out and even happier with everything I learned along the way. 🌺

Big thank you to @lexi__edit @kylaasinas for trusting me with this milestone. 💗 So grateful for the opportunity and so excited to see what Maison Thallo can become.

First event down. Here’s to many more. 🥹

For this piece, I wanted to play around with fluorescent colors and more botanicals 🌿

I’ve been spending so much time fixating on getting the colors “right” or accurately with my portraits, I felt I needed to practice painting something less restricted by the rules of realism. I decided to challenge myself to paint with colors I would never normally touch, and this was the result! This is definitely not my usually color palette but it I enjoyed painting more freely with this.

My sister requested for large florals and a holographic background to give me something to play around with, this is the result 💛🩷💜

Thank you for the trust @lexi__edit !

This is to commemorate a silent triumph, naked to the eye.

Thank you for doing the nasty and painful task of introspection and therapy. There is no quantifiable metric to measure efficacy and change, so trust when I say you had notable changes to (in)security, outlook, tendency, and decision-making.

You decided to address your insecurities and I affirm that you have. You decided to change your tendencies and I affirm that you have.
You decided to be a healthier partner and I affirm that you are.

You decided to be better and I affirm that you have been better.

Objectively I can say these changes have been detrimental to the peace and maturity of our relationship. Meditation, self-audit, journaling, bull-sessions, and professional help / therapy worked for us.

Great job, @kylaasinas for putting in dreadful work. I acknowledge and commend every bit of it.

Now, we reap peace.

Caveat:
• I have my own issues to deal with on a progressive basis and I will continue to do so as they are also equally needed for our growth. But that’s not the point of this post

IN BLOOM

Two approaches on floral, with uniquely distinct language through color, form, and arrangement.
_

In Kyla Asinas’ works, florals take on a more defined and illustrative language. Balanced and structued, individual blooms are articulated and layered while set across woven patterns.
_

For AJ Buñag, florals are approached through a looser, impressionstic style. Expressive brushwork and colors, the flowers are gathered into intimate still lifes, and painted in vessels and abundant arrangements.

Every message, every photo, every kind word from my clients means so much to us 🤍

Seeing you wear your gowns with confidence, hearing how you felt beautiful, and knowing that our designs became part of your special moments (weddings, debut, birthdays, prom, grad ball or graduation) it’s something we will never take for granted.

From fittings to final looks, each piece is made with so much care, and your trust in Maria Gan Couture is truly the heart of everything we do.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. Thank you for your kind words, your appreciation, and most especially, your trust.

Grateful always 🤍

I took a quick break from painting portraits to paint some florals again for a change. This is another arrangement by @marc_sardi , but I am hoping to some day paint my own floral arrangements too 🙏🏼🌷

This was my best effort to document the process (but I still ended up forgetting to record most of the actual painting process 🥲)

Still accepting commissions for July onwards, DM to inquire 📩
