POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Once upon a time, I had a baby, opened a brick-and-mortar fitness studio, got divorced, became responsible for nearly 30 employees and contractors, and eventually closed the dream I thought would define me.
All in about four years.

It was maddening. Thrilling. Expensive. Beautiful. Exhausting. Alive.
And for a long time, I thought the ending meant I had lost something.
Now I know better.

Hustle & Flow gave me proof.

Proof that I could build something from nothing.
Proof that I could lead.
Proof that I could make hard decisions.
Proof that people would trust me.
Proof that community can become family.
Proof that I could survive an ending I never wanted.

The hardest part of closing wasn’t losing the business.
It was knowing that people had made a home there.
That mattered to me more than the lease, the equipment, the branding, any of it.
And maybe that’s why I no longer believe every ending is a failure.
Some things are meant to become foundations, not forever homes.
That chapter ended.

But the woman it built did not.
She came with me.

Into motherhood.
Into single motherhood.
Into grief.
Into entrepreneurship again.

Into every room I’ve built since.
So if you’re standing at the edge of something scary, wondering if the risk is worth it…
Maybe the question isn’t, “Will this last forever?”
Maybe the question is:
Who will I become because I was brave enough to begin?

*to the people in these photos and the ones not pictured-I am forever grateful for you!! 💫
