Things I could never... !!

We need to hear different voices.

Voices that lead with empathy.
Voices that call out harm.
Voices that invite dialogue.
Voices that centre the marginalised.
Voices that hold trauma tenderly.
Voices that advocate for other not like them.

This is THE NEW SOUND OF BUSINESS.

I want to hear that on stages, in board rooms, in funding convos, in meetings, in emails, on dm’s, in the comments...

I recently turned 40 and I’ve never felt more at home in myself.

I’m healthiest I’ve ever been in, I love where I live, I love the business I’ve built and, most importantly, I’m surrounded by some absolute GOATs. 🐐

There was a time when I thought getting older meant losing things. Now I think it’s about gaining them. More confidence, perspective, self-belief, appreciation for the little things and a much clearer idea of who and what deserves my energy.

Maybe 40 really is the decade of giving fewer shits about what everyone else thinks and doing more of what makes you happy. 😂

For my birthday I even got a set of decks, so I’m adding “learning to DJ” to the list of things I’m giving a go. If there’s something you’ve always fancied trying, maybe this is your sign to just bloody do it.

I’m feeling very lucky to be 40, thriving and exactly where I am. 🤍 Here’s to the next decade, doing more of what makes me happy, trying new things and giving significantly fewer shits about the rest. 🥂

It’s been a week and I’m still buzzing about our Summer Supper Club!

Hard to put into words the vibe, the conversations & the magic that happened last Friday. 35 women, founders, entrepreneurs and driven women who came together to feel inspired and connected. Most of us have busy, intense & overwhelming lives - this is why in-person events are so important at the moment. They allow to step out of the world for a few hours, no work, no kids, just us.

And there were the hot takes and brillant talks by Molly at @newnoteorchestra, Katie at @yourcybercoach and @linz.riding who talked with so much heart and power about what they are working on at the moment. I was moved to tears and so inspired by how creatives these women are. Follow them, support them - they are building incredible things!

A massive thank you to Rachel at @systercompany for opening her beautiful house to us, to Sophie at @loam.kitchen for feeding us with incredible food and @by_anjap for capturing with so much power these pockets of moments.

A big thank you as well to @lornabladen for her support at @canva_uk

And of course to my co-host @lara_sheldrake, so much fun hosting this together! Here’s to the next one ✌️

Last year, I wouldn’t even have dreamt of hosting two supper clubs in the same year, and here we are and this one is (again) so special because I’m partnering with @foundflourish and we have such a great programme for the 50 lucky ladies who will attend ❤️
