BFF is proud to have given away $291,500 in just 3 years of grantmaking to support midwives, student midwives, doulas, and community organizations across the USA. Founded in 2020, our first grants went out in 2022. We are growing every year, and as a grassroots foundation, YOU power this liberation work. Let's fund supported births, respectful and compassionate care, and a liberated future. Our grants are more than numbers. It's solidarity. It's community care. Together, we build abundance.

Last week's @arcteryxnorcal Groovie Gravel Ride was a celebration of community, fun, and adventure—exactly what I enjoy most about cycling.
⠀
Huge shoutout to everyone who came and helped create such a positive vibe! 🙏🏾🚴🏾‍♂️

On April 26th, 2023 Marin County officials broke into the home of Mona Rebelez without a warrant, ransacking and damaging her home. She needs your help to bring the people who violated her home to justice by donating to her legal defense in the link in the Robbie Powelson's bio.

Her home was violated by Raymond Brady and Bridget Heffelfinger of the County of Marin's Public Administrators Office. Brady and Raymond were brought to Mona's home, a boat anchored in Richardson Bay, by Richardson Bay Regional Agency Harbormasters James Malcolm and Anne Luger.

Mona's partner had recently died at Marin General Hospital, without a will testament or much of any property to his name. Raymond Brady and Bridget Heffelinger - both ex cops - allegedly were probate custodians of Tom's estate.
Raymond Brady threatened to destroy Mona's home if she did not divulge paperwork proving ownership of the boat. She provided it. Nevertheless, the impetuous public administrators broke into her home while she was gone.

Working far outside the scope of their official authority, they took pictures of Mona's banking statements and private confidential paperwork that was not connected to her partners probate.
To add insult to injury, they broke one of her cabinets - and didn't even inform them that they had destroyed her property during the search instead covering it up live on body cam.

Mona's tired of harassment from County of Marin and Richardson Bay Regional Agency officials who are seeking to destroy her and her community by 2026 through a settlement agreement with the Bay Conservation and Development Commission.

She needs your help. Please donate to her legal fund and spread the word.

Today was one of those days when everything just fell into place.
⠀
I started out on a gravel ride with Lauren and serendipitously ran into a group of friends on a mega mountain bike ride. We decided to join them and had an awesome time. The fresh fall air, brightly colored leaves, and spooky Halloween decorations added to the fun.
⠀
I love when things like this happen. It made me realize that it's not always about planning. Sometimes the best adventures are waiting for us around the next bend in the road or behind the next tree line. You just got to get out there and go for it!

Some great memories in here…this set is from a shoot we did about a year ago for Cycling Tips. Fisher just had two of his “route recommendations” published in CT’s Adventure section of their site. If you wanna ride this route, head over to @cyclingtips and read the article!

Family road trip to Sea Otter was a success!!
⠀
I discovered that traveling with a newborn is a huge adjustment, and I still have a lot to learn. I am grateful for the encouragement and support I received from my friends & sponsors. The weekend would not have felt complete if @laurrielou and Jasmine were not there with me. The XC race was so much fun and I can’t wait to try again next year, with more sleep.
⠀
Thanks to everyone who dropped by to say hello. It was great to see and meet folks in person. A huge highlight for me was having 40 riders on gravel and mountain bikes join the @flashpointmvmnt ice cream ride. We started on the Laguna Seca race track and followed part of the XC/Gravel course. Some riders were experienced racers, and some were new to doing group rides. All were welcome, and we had a great time.
⠀
Special thanks to my friends from @sfcyclingclub @fatcakeclub @outride @gravelbikecalifornia & @californiaradness who attended. It was exciting to see the cycling community come together. Our shared goals are advocacy, community building, and creating welcoming onramps into the sport of cycling. The movement is growing, and I can’t wait to be involved in more events this year!
