If you train grappling with high intensity, you know the brutal toll every session takes on your joints, tendons, and muscles. But here is the real question - how much time in your routine do you actually spend restoring your body?

Training hard is only half of the equation. Keeping a REHAB / Bodywork routine every 15 to 20 days isn't a luxury — it's mandatory preventive maintenance for anyone looking for longevity on the mats and high performance without getting sidelined by injuries.

In the video, Lee (@_bal4nce_) putting in the work on body recovery and alignment here at @10thplanet.dubai

---

Why is a REHAB routine essential for fighters?

• Restoration of Mobility & Flexibility - Grappling forces the body into extreme positions and shortens muscles. REHAB restores joint range of motion, allowing you to move fluidly and without restriction.

• Increased Local Blood Flow - Targeted manual work stimulates microcirculation, optimizing nutrient delivery and accelerating the removal of fatigue-causing metabolites.

• Tension Relief & Fascial Release - Micro-traumas build up tension knots and restrict fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles). Releasing the fascia eliminates that 'stiff body' feel and prevents severe muscle spasms.

• Cupping Therapy - Suction creates negative pressure that breaks down deep adhesions, separating tissue layers and triggering intense vascular release in the treated area.

---

A smart fighter doesn't wait for their body to break before fixing the machine. Treat your REHAB as an essential part of your training schedule.

How's your recovery routine looking right now? Do you regularly maintain your body, or do you only think about REHAB when pain locks you up? Drop a comment below! 👇

This sequence from the @eddiebravo10p seminar perfectly shows how each step sets up the next.

FLAT MODE is the key position

It allows you to control your opponent’s hips and shoulders, limit their escape angles, and create opportunities for attacks like the Darce…

Struggling with knee pain or weak knees?

These 5 movements will help you build strength, stability, and reduce pain all from home :

1. Backward Walking – Strengthens VMO and improves joint health

2. Tibialis Raises – Builds the front shin for better deceleration

3. Calf Raises – Supports ankle stability and knee mechanics

4. Poliquin Step-Up – Strengthens quads through a safe range

5. ATG Split Squat – Improves mobility and bulletproofs the knees

💡 Do these 2–3x/week with control and consistency. Trust me, your knees will thank you.

I highly recommend @leebriggs1981 @bal4nce_sports_therapist to help fix you up before any competition if you are competing in the UAE. Alternatively, he can be just as good in treating you for general maintenance.

Lee did a great job in getting rid of stiffness, soreness, and migraine pain. It was the first time I avoided a migraine attack pre and post fight, and that's all thanks to Lee.

Thank you 🫶!
