Some moments in life don’t feel real even after a while. I look back on this moment and think about the journey it took to even be in the position to win a National title. I feel like I’ve been battle tested my whole life, however last year I felt I took on one of toughest battles. Not knowing if I’d even be able to even run track anymore November of 23’. God had other plans for me.. extreme plans. Plans that I doubted often. During that time I found a quote by Kobe Bryant that I’ve heard many times; but never resonated w/ me how it does now.

“Always keep going.. always. What I’ve come to find out is that no matter what happens, the storm eventually ends. And when the storm does end you want to make sure that you’re ready.”

Coming off winning a national championships to tearing my ACL 1.5 months after. I felt like I was finally at the mountain top and then BOOM.. back to level 1. Learning how to walk let alone run again. As time went on I drew back to the Kobe quote. Your life depends on how much you bet on yourself. Put you chips in your basket and roll the dice. Believe that HIS plan is what = your destiny. What type of legacy will you leave behind when it’s all said and done?
