🤔 IT SAYS “HIGH IN PROTEIN” BUT IT DOESN’T MEAN IT IS! 💪

DOWNLOAD OUR FREE ‘PARENTS RESET GUIDE’ for more useful tricks and tips 💪🏼

Food companies love a protein claim on their packaging. But don’t let clever marketing fool you! 👀

Here’s a simple rule to follow:

✅ Check how much protein you’re getting per 100 calories.

💪 10g of protein per 100 calories? That’s a great protein-to-calorie ratio!

🤔 Only 3–5g per 100 calories? It might contain protein, but it’s not necessarily a great protein source for the calories, especially if the goal is fat loss.

It’s not about avoiding foods. It’s about understanding what you’re actually eating.

Don’t fall for the marketing. Read the numbers! 🔥

👉 Follow @ParentsPT for simple, no-nonsense nutrition and fitness advice that actually fits around family life.

✨ You hear it all too often… women feeling intimidated walking into the gym. 🫣

And honestly, it’s understandable. Walking into a male-dominated space, surrounded by unfamiliar equipment and people who look like they know exactly what they’re doing, can feel overwhelming.

But you deserve to take up space in the gym just as much as anyone else. 💪🏼🩷

So, if gym anxiety is holding you back, here are some simple, effective exercises using minimal equipment that you can take into your next session.

No complicated setups. No fighting for machines. Just simple movements to help you build strength, find your feet and grow your confidence.

Remember, you don’t need to know everything before you walk through those doors. Confidence comes from showing up, practising and realising you’re more capable than you think.

Save this for your next gym session and remember, you belong in that space too. 🫶🏼

✨ You haven’t failed. You’ve just spent a long time putting yourself last. ❤️

The amount of parents I coach who tell me they’re “lazy”, they’ve “let themselves go” or they’re disappointed in where they are is honestly heartbreaking.

Because often, nothing could be further from the truth.

You’re showing up for your family.
You’re working hard in your career.
You’re juggling a hundred responsibilities.

But somewhere along the way, your own health has taken a back seat.

Not because you’re lazy. But because you’ve spent so long putting everyone else first.

And the fact that you’re reaching out for help and putting a plan in place tells me you’re ready to change that.

Our job is to help you turn that intention into reality.

Because you can’t keep pouring from an empty cup.

When you start looking after yourself, everyone around you benefits too.

It’s not selfish to prioritise your health. It’s essential.

Follow @theparentspt.

We’re ready when you are. 💚

REST IS PART OF THE PLAN TOO. 🤍

Rest is just as important as the work you put in.

It’s where muscles grow.
It’s where your body repairs.
It’s where you rebuild, recharge and come back stronger.

You can’t keep working yourself into the ground and expect to thrive.

And here’s the thing… rest isn’t laziness.

It’s okay to slow down.
It’s okay to do nothing.
It’s okay to just BE.

But as parents, rest can feel almost foreign. We’re so used to being needed, doing something, juggling everything and constantly being on the go that when we finally get a moment to ourselves, it can feel weird. Almost uncomfortable.

Like we should be doing something.

But you don’t have to earn your rest.

Those little pockets of quiet? Take them.
Those moments when nothing needs doing? Enjoy them.
And when you get the chance to pause, don’t fill it with guilt.

Because rest isn’t taking you away from your progress.

Rest IS part of your progress.

So here’s your reminder today: you don’t always have to be productive to be doing something good for yourself.

Sometimes doing nothing is exactly what you need. 🤍

❌✅ Sort your warm-up out💪

Ditch the usual treadmill warm-up and give your upper body a little extra attention before you start lifting.

Three simple movements to get your shoulders moving, upper back firing and muscles ready for those pulls.

All you need is a resistance band and a couple of minutes. 🔥

📌 Save this for your next pull day or send it to your gym buddy so you can give it a go together!

We can’t edit videos for sh*t. 😂 But getting parents in shape? That’s where we come in. 💪

Let’s face it. You’re not in your twenties anymore.

Your 30s and 40s hit DIFFERENT when you’ve got kids. 🤯

Work. Kids. School runs. Zero time for yourself.

We’ve helped hundreds of busy mums and dads lose weight, build muscle and finally find time for fitness without sacrificing family life.

Because here’s the thing…

You can’t pour from an empty cup. And you can’t help everyone else if you haven’t put your own life jacket on first. 🛟

Getting yourself fitter, stronger and healthier isn’t selfish. It’s one of the best things you can do for your family.

So while I might never master video editing, I’ll keep doing what I do best. Helping parents get in the best shape of their lives.

Follow us if you’re a mum or dad who’s ready to feel like YOU again. 👊
