Finally a Westerns Recap: 🥇
Total: 587.5 | 1295

Squat: 2/3
215 | 474

Bench: 3/3
100 | 220

Deadlift: 3/3
272.5 | 600

A win nonetheless after moving into Open early, not sure I can say that I was proud of the total I put up but sometimes it’s just not there on the day.

Was cramping up in squat and couldn’t maintain my brace to save my life and ended up way lower than what we had planned for.
Shoulder continued to give me grief so we decided to drop my opener more and played it conservative to risk further injury and saving myself for Nats.
Deadlifts were definitely the highlight for this meet ofc, ended up smoking the 272.5 that I had previously failed in prep but seems to be a reacquiring thing for me.

Thank you @bodyworxrx for stepping up and handling me for this meet especially after hours of volunteering and competing yourself the day before. As well as my mom @teresadharrison that booked our trip and sacrificed her weekend to help me get to Saskatoon.

Had the most amazing person that followed me all the way to Saskatchewan to watch me again and sacrificing so much of her time to support me, I love and appreciate you so much @j.senft_6 ❤️

‼️222.5 | 491‼️ +5kg

Final heavy squat of prep, finishing with an ATPR at that!

Coming back from my back injury stronger than ever and can’t wait to keep pushing this momentum into regionals.

Thank you to all 4 of these wonderful people for stepping up to help spot me for this and keeping me safe🙏🏻

I am both happy and disappointed with this week. Unfortunately tear is still holding back my bench.
Form tweaked out and made dead’s harder than it should’ve been.

Peaking week starts Tuesday😤time to clean it all up and push something better before we taper off.

Well compared to the past I can’t express how happy I am with this week.

Another training block done. Slowly but surely, fixing these injuries and rebuilding the base.

SQ - 150kg x 6s
Larsen BP - 100kg x 6s
Conv. DLs - 205kg x 3s
!!Sumo DLs - 190kg x 3s

First time pulling sumo w/o pain (and in general) in 1-1.5yrs? 🥹 Learnt a neat tip from @n.manders about spreading my cheeks at the bottom, bet.

Week 6 of the ol’ volume/rehab block
150kg x 5s @ RPE 6

The 3rd or 4th week I’ve been able to squat pain free in a very long time (6-8 months?), and I am jazzed. Happy to keep building, returning to baseline, and exceeding it.

Week 6 of the ol’ volume/rehab block
110kg x 6s @ RPE 9-10 (lol)

Left shoulder is cooperating again, and just like with squat excited to return to, and exceed the baseline

Week 6 of the ol’ volume/rehab block
200kg x 4s @ RPE 6

Like squat, deadlift is also coming along. The glute/hamstring tendon pain isn’t as much a barrier here as it is with squats but there are grumpier days. Sumo is still not feasible due to pain, but happy to build strength with ol’ conventional and succeed.

Day1 of my road back to NATS

Time to start taking training seriously, more so my externals than anything.
Actually doing proper rehab incorporated into my training, And form the last 1.5 weeks of doing so has so far shown great improvements on my shoulder.

Taking a test run of things but for the next 2+ weeks, will be a very experimental program, greatful to @liftsbydavid for letting me attempt my own program after a lot of research the past month. Trying some new things, along with a different setup to my block but we’ll see how my body responds.

Tired of being injured and feeling groggy when training, time to lock down my sleep, rehab, and food a lot more than I have have before.

Provs Recap:
S: 207.5 | 457.5 (+0)
B: 102.5 | 226 (-10)
D: 250 | 551 (+20)

560 | 1234.5
@ 64.4 (88.43G)

Was a very disappointing meet to say the least. Nothing has been gong to plan through squats and bench. Missed my overall total that was needed.
Regardless, it felt amazing to finally deadlift injury free in my back at a meet. Even though I wasn’t able to hit my final pull it gave me a glimpse of what’s to come, I look forward to what I can pull off in the future.
I will finish recovering from my shoulder and knee injuries and come back at full health to prove to myself and those who support me what I’m truly capable of!

Thank you to Nick and David for puting up with me to still make this happen!

See ya at the next one🫡

Unfortunately another short prep, it time to do a short taper and tack on an extra 22 kilos to this total for my QT.

With my back pretty well healed, all we have to do is pray my rotator cuff can hold out enough for me to secure 580.

Thank you to everyone that has supported me up to this point !

Work has been done, time to show the results.
