BTS of getting our Lil Dubs ready for their FIRST EVER field practice 🥹🏈💙 And apparently when you coach Dance Team, you also become very well versed in football terminology… just wait until basketball season. 😂 Tonight was about SO much more than reviewing choreography. 📍 New vocabulary words (in dance team world, blocking does NOT mean putting your hands up or stacking blocks 😂) 📍 Spatial awareness + learning their field markers (toeing the line + knowing we do NOT cross that logo!) 📍 Preparing for their second practice in ONE day (which they were VERY excited about… double whammy practice!!!) 📍 Entrances, exits + transitions (our line leaders officially know their jobs + are ready to lead the pack 🫡) 📍 Allllll the little details (where we wait, which direction we face so we can spot Mom + Dad in the stands 🥹, and getting 10 little dancers moving as ONE!) It may look like we’re just getting ready to dance on a football field, but they’re learning SO much along the way. Lil Dancers, Big Energy. And they are SO ready. 🥹💙 These Lil Dubs absolutely have my heart, and I cannot WAIT to watch them experience their first Friday Night Lights at Weddington’s Pink Out game. 💗🏈 But for now…first field practice… here we come!

Congratulations to @thecrosbybell for making the @lildubsdance team for the 26-27 season!!! So proud of her! And someone was kind enough to send her Crumbl cookies but no name was on the tag. We would love to thank the sweet soul who sent them. Please let me know if it was you!
